Clean is the biggest stand out. Soda machine doesn’t taste like it has sugar build up or something in the lines, the floors and facilities are well maintained. The cheesesteak was excellent—definitely one of the best I’ve had. However, the customer service could use some improvement. When I visited, the shop was unusually busy, and it seemed like the staff may have been overwhelmed by the number of orders. Still, no one acknowledged the long wait, offered an apology, greeted me, smiled, or showed attentiveness. The focus was solely on making sandwiches and serving food quietly. The older African American gentleman in particular appeared to be a very hard worker, but he came across as especially unfriendly, which added to the overall lack of warmth in the experience.

Shift leader closing 12/21 was extremely rude and his cashier was more worried about his friends than serving us our food that sat for over thirty minutes cold. Both proceeded to get and attitude when asked for a refund. Horrible customer service.

Someone from corporate needs to do a surprise visit dressed as a regular customer to investigate this sandwich shop and it’s employees. I’ve been to this shop 3 times when it was practically a ghost town and when it was busy. Each time the main cook, an older black gentleman never seems to be a happy mood. His customer service sucks! For some reason he takes every order as if it’s a personal attack. My family came in the store last week and it was a ghost town, my brother wanted to change minor detail to his order and the guy gave him the nastiest look with his face scrunched up. Today it was the same, I showed him a coupon that I had and he sighed and rolled his eyes as those I’ve just given him bad news. This behavior is unacceptable. I’m a paying customer. This the job YOU chose to do. I get having a bad day, but this is the 3rd time within a week. If he’s did this to my family I can only imagine he’s done this to other customers. To the corporates at Penn Station, this is who you have representing you. I’m not sure if I want to come back.
