Shrinkflation has come to Penn Station Subs. We have been coming to this location for years, but have noticed that the subs are more of a slightly filled baguette… they may be the same length in inches, but are much smaller in width. So you end up with not much more than a lettuce covered, underbaked bruchetta. And what happened to the overflowing fries? My wife and I used to be able to share a medium, now it wasn’t much more than a couple of happy meal fry orders slapped together. That plus two fountain drinks and you are well over 30 bucks for fast food. You used to do better Penn Station, and that’s why we liked you. Not so much any more 🙁

The subs are delicious but the mega cheese steak was a mega disappointment. It was tiny compared to the large sub and cost just as much… There was no mega meat, no mega cheese, and no mega anything. So if you go there just get a large sub instead of the mega at least then you’d get the bang for your buck.

Grilled Italian always slaps but for some reason this store does not cut their subs so its just a bit messier and harder to eat. I ordered a sweet tea and after filling uo my tea halfway and alerting the cashier that it was out by the time I finished my food and went to see if it had been replinshed 15-20 minutes late it was still empty even thought it was relatively slow with alot of workers. I will return but dont order tea lol.

Stopped here to have Lunch, ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Wrap, Bag Chips n Water, walked in and there is Large Menu hanging on wall to left, took our order and down the lane went to pay, paid for the food went to set down and noticed on reciept that was double charged for item had to go back to cashier and get refund on the double charge item, food came out quick and was hot and very delicious, defiantly a keeper.

Great place for a quick bite. With plenty of seating and a wide selection of sandwiches you can’t go wrong. They will make any sub into a salad for those who don’t want to eat a ton of bread. Overall it is good food at a decent price. My only review that is negative deals with the customers. Don’t be that jerk who feels that the bottle of vinegar or the season salt is put there just for you. Use it where it’s located and don’t take it back to your table. Let everyone enjoy the goodness they provide. Other than that it’s an awesome place to grab a bite to eat.

The food is good but its never right. I still go out of convenience and not wanting Taco Bell or BK. I specifically asked David this evening if it was normal for my avocado to go on the side. He mentioned to the prep person to make sure it was on my veggie sub. Not only was my avocado not on there, but neither were the pickles, onion, tomato or lettuce. I just ate cheese, banana peppers and spicy brown mustard. Its disappointing because I know it can be good and folks are nice. But this is my third time in a month and a half that I did not get what I ordered and my meal break from work doesnt allow me to go back and wait for a remake.
Order #94 5:26pm on Monday 5/19.

The food is always hot and fresh, made to order but order taker did not seem to want to be at work and the music was so loud it was hard to carry on a conversation. Music playing also had profanity which made it not a family environment.

Always loved Penn Station but never been to this one. The fresh cut fries and the steak and cheese I always order. This sit down was disappointing. First off the lady fixing our subs did NOT wear gloves and she was either on her phone or running her fingers through her hair while the steak was being cooked then she prepared our food! 3 subs large fry and 3 drinks was around $45.00 which is a head scratcher. Sit down to eat and the fresh cut fries are my favorite except not this time because they were so so salty. I usually love these fries and have to add a little salt because usually they are not salted. I ate a couple like I always do anywhere I go before adding salt and wow! Way too much salt to begin with. I should have went somewhere else when I walked in at 6:30 and not a customer anywhere. The whole time we sit inside there was one other person that came in and ordered to go! I Won’t be back to this Penn Station.

We got regular 3 combos and one extra sub and it was $57. The Philly steaks subs were a very soggy bun with a jar of banana peppers and a little bit of steak. Dripping out of the end but just tasted like buttered banana peppers. The fries were extremely soggy and gross. We had to wait forever bc they were fairly busy and it was still soggy, even eating it within minutes of receiving. This is only my second time eating at Penn Station in 20 years. Won’t be a third. I’d say out of the 4 major sub places, it’s way down at the bottom. The service and workers were fine though at this location. It’s the entire franchise I believe to be the problem. We ate a nice sit down Italian restaurant last night and it was only $53. Overpriced and overall not good. Not sure how anyone likes this place. No offense directly to this establishment.
