This is just what my taste buds have been looking for! We had little samples of 3 of the meats, the BBQ pulled pork, the cochinita pibil, and the lechon. All 3 were so flavorful and delicious! We ultimately order the pulled pork sandwich which came with with cole slaw on it which was amazing and the pork belly sandwich. The meat was so tender and delicious, and smoked to perfection! Everything was just right! It was a melt in your mouth sandwich, they both were! So I’ve had okay bbq in San Miguel, and I’ve had “pretty good bbq but this was by far THE BEST! The owners have a passion for smoking meats and making flavorful food and it shows!

Peninsula’s Yucatan-style tacos – pork and chicken – are fabulous. The pork tacos are slow roasted for 14 hours and the chicken for 4 – tender, juicy, flavorful, with just the right amount of smoked flavor. Deliciousos. And you can buy the meat and accompaniments to go – great for a party or to keep in the fridge for a quick, very tasty meal. Yum!!
