Such a great place to eat! Great atmosphere and the waitresses are very sweet and friendly and help you with any questions or special requests. Fun for birthday parties with 6 people or less. There is an outside area and an inside area. Lovely for luncheons with friends or co workers. Mom and I got often. I love their large number of different sandwiches and salads. They also have chili and different kinds of soup.

I have been here many times through the years. The food is good. I was greeted warmly by the waitress! The owner is not friendly at all! I got the chicken salad sandwich which was good but the sour dough bread absolutely fell apart and crumbled away as I ate the sandwich. I ended up just eating the chicken salad by itself. I also got the wedding soup which was good but didn’t have any flavor. I added salt which helped.

Penelope’s is a hidden gem nestled in LaCanada. Food was delicious, services were nice. I felt I am in a little European place with a small place with quality.. mostly locals come here. Lovely place. I will definitely go there again.

OMG! The best waffles ever! I also took coffee latte and it was amazing! So cute patio outside with a little fountain and a few beautiful fish inside! Very quiet, so very comfortable for business breakfast or lunch! Highly recommend!

Penelope’s is our go to when we need sandwich or salad. Ingredients are fresh, service is good, and Penelope remembers our name, preferences etc. when we call to order. The outdoor sitting area has a big tree that provides shade and a small pond that you can hear the soothing sound of water. Inside, there’s a gallery of books and unique gifts, and sometimes artworks, and I always like the seat in the corner that an old sewing machine was transformed into a table.

I have been wanting to stop by this cafe forever. I finally did and it did not disappoint. Penelope is such a sweet and gracious host, spending time not only serving us but chatting with us. What a great story she has. Food was delicious and the outdoor patio simply delightful. I will return for sure.
