They throw all their utensils and cups in the garbage in true Russian style instead of using silverware and bowls. Not to mention the portions are small.

There isn’t a posted menu because it’s simple: you can, for $9.00 order either: 15-20 bite sized all beef dumplings OR all potato dumplings OR a mix of both. That’s IT! They have a mini fridge stocked with sodas and water. It’s basically a brick and mortar version of a food truck. The dumplings come with optional sour cream on the side (which I recommend). I got the mixed to try both and I personally like the beef one better. The seasoning included curry powder and saracha sauce. They also had a few miscellaneous sauces you could add on the side. For the kids, it was hot or miss: out of the three- only one liked it. One of them had a texture issue with it. I normally like cilantro, but I felt it wasn’t needed for the dumplings so I scrapped it off. The bread was delicious. Overall, it was filling and a very different take on your traditional dumplings or perogies.

Was hoping they also had borscht, but they have literally only 2 things on the menu: potato or beef dumplings. But better to have a limited menu and do it well! Very tasty- especially with all the toppings!

It’s $10 for the Piroshky. I ordered the mixed, half were beef, half were potato. They were very good, I enjoyed the meal. The person working there offered me two sour creams but I only took one. Next time I’ll take two. They’re open late almost every day, gotta luv that. It was fun looking at their vinyl record collection while I waited for my order.

The restaurant was small and had little seating for how popular it is. The line was short, but the experience was large. The food is small, little meat chucks wrapped in dough that seems to be boiled. It was delicious regardless and has a bit of a kick served with sour cream and half a bread slice. I wish I had ordered more.

Just moved to Bellingham from Boulder, Colorado. Still trying to figure out the food scene. So far it’s been kind of hit or miss mostly Mys but this place is the TRUTH! They do one thing but they do it right I got a half and half meat/potato order of dumplings. They’re served with a sour cream and a slightly sweet Sriracha based hot sauce. Get plenty of hot sauce. I’m not a hot sauce girl, but this stuff is great.
Absolutely best piece of rye bread I’ve had in ages on top. This will be my go to spot when I have people come in from out of town to visit so that I look like I’m a connoisseur of local fair! Don’t miss it

I used to go here all the time and it was a great lunch or light dinner. This time I brought in a large family from out of town and was surprised that there is only an option for hot sauce and that’s it. What about for those that don’t want hot sauce? What happened to the other options?

I heard they had great dumplings and I have to agree. Although I have little experience with dumplings, I found both the potato and beef to be very satisfying, especially with the added hot sauce. Pel’meni provides a quick meal that is affordable along with friendly service. It’s truly a unique experience and another place that makes Bellingham special.
