We competed in a pageant in Pell City and this was one of the few restaurants open. With it being a Sunday and with the event so close by I thought it would be packed, but it wasn’t and the service was good. Most of us had the fried fish, it was pretty good. The yams were a bit too sweet for me. My cousin said the fried chicken was the best she has ever had! We didn’t really have many complaints. I would’ve liked to have 2 pieces of fish and there wasn’t a wide variety of sides, but it was good

Not a very good experience. We almost left at a few points because it was taking forever for the waitress to come to our table for order taking, drinks, refills, etc. I ordered the ribeye medium and the steak came out incredibly rare and chewy. I would have asked for them to cook it longer but the waitress never came back to check on us but only to quickly plop tickets down after we were MORE than ready to leave.

Very nice home town feel, food was great but service was a bit slow. Waited almost 10 minutes to take my drink order once seated. Once food was ordered it came out very quickly and was delicious.

Went for local food to support and try something new but the steak was not great. Salad was sad. Shrimp was good. Steak was just basic. Too lean of meat and not a whole lot of flavor. My wife and I got medium temp and hers was bloody mine was dry. 55 years running must do a lot right but it wasn’t great tonight.

This was a wonderful place to eat. I love the food and the staff was super sweet too us. Also someone Blessed us. I went to pay for our ticket and someone payed for our dinner !! It made me cry. God Bless whomever paid for our dinner. It meant a lot.

Stopped here for some lunch. I ordered the chicken fried steak with three sides. The collards with cabbage was Delicious! Mashed potatoes and the strawberry shortcake. The food was a little on the salty side for my taste but still edible. Our server was fantastic!

Had chicken gizzards tonight. I know many turn their noses up to them, but I love them. They are hard to find and even harder to find cooked correctly. These were sublime. My compliments to the cook!
