This is a Midwest City Classic that’s been around for decades! The atmosphere is definitely Whimsical and very warf like. We were greeted properly, waited on promptly and our food came out timely. We have the catfish, it was the smaller portion and it was the perfect amount. And we got a salad bar with our entrees.

My wife and I just finished a fantastic evening at Pelican’s in Midwest Ok. i had not been to the restaurant since 1984. This was my saturday night go to in my AirForce days and it was never a disappointment. And it has not changed. Perfect service from
Delanie and wonderful time with JJ proved nothing has slipped. Excellent stop and I’m sure I can count on it the next time i’m through the area. I’ll try to make it under 40 years. Thank you

The salad bar was great. I ordered crab cakes and my kid had buffalo chicken strips. I ordered a full order of crab cakes because I was really hungry for them. Unfortunately they were lacking crab. The cakes tasted more like a hush puppy cake. This item is $32 so very frustrating but my son loved his chicken. I do not recommend crab cakes or the fettuccine. I only go here for my son. I have yet to find something I like, for their prices.

Oh man. I was trying to not be biased. When you grow up near the ocean and have access to fresh seafood, you don’t want to be too hard on anyone here. That being said, there is no excuse for not being able to at least fry a piece of fish correctly. Y’all need to ADD SEASONING. And if you think you’ve added enough, hear me out. Add more. It comes down to knowing how to fry–which temperature–for how long. I had the catfish fillets which were greasy rubber flaps. I don’t know. For the high price we paid, the kitchen needs to learn those basics. Service wasn’t bad but non-engaging and hand’s off. Lots to work on here.

Dried out chicken. Uncleaned coconut shrimp. Was supposed to get bread but never saw that. Gravy had enough flour in it to count as bread though, which didn’t do much to help the dry chicken. The salad bar was the only redeeming part or it would have been 0 stars.

Food was good, service was good, server’s honesty was lacking. We were served lite portions and billed for full portions. Server also adjusted the tip up to what he thought he deserved. I will still go here, but I will never accept this server again. Just because I’m a senior, doesn’t mean I am dull of mind!

Knowing the restaurant has been there for decades and wanting to treat my family to a different restaurant, I chose Pelicans and made reservations. The fried Cod was absolutely the worst dish I’ve ever been served. Two at our table of 5 ordered the fried Cod having the texture of twice overdone fried chicken. Not flakey or even a hint of flavor. We should have sent our food back and ordered something else. While our server had the personality of a fence post, stoic, non interactive, he kept the drinks refilled and timely doing his job. Thought best to not provoke the waiter since we could not quite understand his demeanor to just leave well enough alone and mark it down as a totally bad experience and leave it at that. The other three entree’s were below average as well. Very disappointed. Never to return.

First visit. Parking lot looked full but was able to be seated right away. Our server Jeremy was great and took very good care of us. Menu choices were the beer battered cod. Wife wasn’t much of a fan, said the fish was a bit hard and not much flavor. Mine was the fettuccine with chicken. Not bad but the noodles were overcooked but still decent flavor. Both items came with a trip to the salad bar. Everything is getting more expensive theses days, this trip plus tip was a bit over $50

It was really delicious!! Staff was extremely friendly and patient. I had a ton of questions and they were all so nice and helpful. The waitor went above and beyond to take care of my wife and I. They gave us a lot of privacy and seemed to always show up at just the right time to get us taken care of. The salad bar was delicious and the soup was amazing. None of our main food was over cooked it was all spot on and delicious!
