We’ve lived in Albuquerque a long time and I’ve always seen pelicans on the corner but never visited until tonight. It has a very old-fashioned feel, but also warm at the same time. We came at about 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday which was a bold move, and we did have to wait about a half an hour for a table. But it was a fun bustling atmosphere.
Our waitress was great and very attentive. I got the ribeye and salad and both were phenomenal. I normally would never bother mentioning a salad but it was really really good. It had a mix of raw and cooked veggies, and it had dry elements kept separate that you added to your own taste, including pine nuts and croutons. It also came with roasted garlic that was unbelievable with the bread.
I got the smoked old fashioned which arrived with a flourish and was delicious.
The ribeye was fantastic, maybe top five steaks I’ve ever had. I got it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. The baked potato it came with was a great side.
Also, I’m not really sure why, but they brought us this massive ice cream dish at the end for free! It wasn’t a birthday or anything but they just did and it was really nice of them.
We will 100% be back.

Everything was good, steak was good, potato was good etc. But the oysters were NOT fresh and every other one tasted off. Luckily I didn’t get sick from the 1 nasty one I accidentally ate but other than that, awesome! Was pretty busy in there, even with a reservation we waited and our server was always extremely busy. She still made time to visit us and made sure we were good. My partner really liked his noodles!

Coveted 5/5 stars! Fantastic service by Tammy. Our group enjoyed the prime rib, trout, salmon and sirloin. All were a hit. Enjoyed the ambience as a cozy, dark, classic steakhouse. Booths had plenty of room and not too noisy.

It was very crowded and loud! Waitress was very good! Calamari tasty and tender, salad and bread great. Lobster tail great! $76.95 $$$$. I remember when it was $19.99! My friend’s ribeye, which was supposed to be medium rare was well done. She sent it back. She enjoyed the scallops. Overall great as usual!

We went because we received a gift card for dinner. The food was good: great sirloin cooked perfectly medium rare. The shrimp and fish and chips were standard fare. The dinner salad was fresh, great variety of greens, and a really good dressing. I was impressed with the full wait staff and their teamwork on a Tuesday night. The atmosphere was a blend of 80’s yacht rock, dark wooden paneling , and some modern upgrades; but not the defining factor. Overall, a good meal, but a little too pricey for the experience.

Always happy when I leave here. Just went for our 21st anniversary and had Tara as our server. She was phenomenal and made our already pleasant experience even better.

Have you eaten at Pelican’s? The food was so good! The server and staff are also really great!! The steaks have great flavor and can’t say anything bad about the visit!!! The atmosphere is just quit and is hard to beat!!!! The PRIME RIB is so good, if you don’t show up early enough you may miss out!!!!!

The food and the wait staff were amazing and the atmosphere was very pleasant. My family went in to celebrate my mother’s birthday and we had an overall great experience. The one downside to the evening was our arrival. I arrived a few minutes early at 5 til opening with a couple balloons and some things I wanted to put at the table. Having worked in the restaurant industry before I knew this should not be a problem. However, when I arrived I witnessed a major disconnect between the team. When I asked the hostesses if I could simply put the stuff for my mother at the table we were supposed to sit at, they said no because there was a meeting going on between the managers and wait staff. Completely understand the pre game meetings, however I was appalled that the hostesses couldn’t even put the things at the table for me or even ask be bothered to go ask the manager if they or I could simply and quickly just lay stuff on the table for the surprise. This SHOULD NOT have been an issue and would have ment so much to me. Ultimately it did not negatively impact the evening or anything, just disappointing that it seems the hostesses are too afraid of the managers or there seems to be a disconnect between their team. Being able to set up the table for the surprise, which should have been a very easy thing to do, would have been the best thing a service industry business could do to accomidate it’s customers and would have made it a 5 star review.

This place definitely is cozy and we’ve never had bad service. Being December, the place was decked out in a dazzling array of all white Christmas lights. Our waiter was phenomenal being friendly and attentive. The bacon wrapped scallops and pelican shrimp were delicious! And oysters on the half shell are always a must for my father. Highly recommend any time you want top notch service and food.
