We ordered our food and waited 50 minutes for it to be delivered. Fair enough, it’s Friday night. The food arrived and one of the items was missing. Pretty annoying, we already paid for it. Called the shop again and told them about the problem. They said it’ll be with us very quickly, so we decide to wait before eating, since it was a big part of our meal. 20 minutes later, I call again. They said it’ll be with us very soon. 10 more minutes and I get a call asking if I’m sure I didn’t receive it already. I told them no, she tells me they tried to redeliver it, but got the wrong address (other side of town). My blood is boiling. Our food’s stone cold but we decide to just start eating anyway. Another 20 minutes go by and I call again. Took me 5 minutes to get through and the admittedly nice woman on the phone said it will be with us soon. Pathetic. Lots of apologies, but no attempt to make it right. The food is always good here, but this isn’t the first time we’ve had long delays and messed up orders. Won’t bother ordering again.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in Hinckley in our experience. They have a wide variety of dishes, fresh, hot, and very good portion sizes. The ordering process is good, and the lady is always kind and helpful, and will ask the chef if I need to know what ingredients are in certain dishes due to an allergy. Delivery is quick, and the food is always piping hot.
We’ve tried many dishes here, and they have all been consistently good. I especially recommend their aromatic crispy duck, Kung Po chicken, crispy shredded chicken, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong and the Cantonese style. In fact, all their dishes are delicious They also sell small pots of sweet and sour sauce on request, and bottles of soya sauce.
We’ve tried several other takeaways in Hinckley, but none are as nice, nor as consistent in quality.
I also like that they’ve had a 5 ⭐️ hygiene rating since we started ordering from them over 20 years ago. Unlike other ones, we’ve never had a dodgy tummy once from this great place!

Pekking wok, used to easily be the best Chinese takeaway in hinckley.
But, one recent experiences it has gone downhill massively.
The food quality is nowhere near what it once was (Not sure whether something has changed)
Missing items from orders happened 2 times out of the last 4 times ordered.
2 occasions where the taste wasn’t very good at all, making people feel a bit sick later on, with upset stomach.
It seems as though less meat is now in the orders and replaced with extra mushrooms or vegetables.
We’ll be trying elsewhere next time now, as we did try and persist with you, due how good the food used to be.

The food was delicious and really obviously fresh. The sweet and sour chicken was the best I’ve ever had, and I eat a lot of Chinese food!
The lady who took my order was really friendly and polite, as was the gentleman who delivered my food.
Delivery was also really quick.
I think I’ve found my new favourite Chinese takeaway!

On Friday 20th June ordered takeaway from there. I ordered Satay Chicken on Skewer served on bamboo skewer with a spicy peanut sauce dip. The chicken was very, very dry not eatable and the dip was horrible in flavour and very watery. I’m very disappointed. The worst Chinese I ever had.

Just Bought our evening meal from here. It’s the first Chinese takeaway we’ve used since moving to Hinckley.
Lovely food, great value for money.
Tasty Chow mein, Beautiful chicken balls, rice delicious.
All ready when I arrived to collect it.
The staff were cheerful and pleasant.

Chow mein was excellent. But the chicken and ginger failed all round, someone forgot to put any ginger in, therefore, was very disappointed

We have used Peking Wok for coming on 15 years at a guess. We have never had a bad meal, food delivery always fast with hot food at our door step. Staff always polite and professional. Highly recommended!!
