Solid Chinese food, this is not a menu to be impetus with. Give it a good once over to full appreciate and understand your options. There is a typical Chinese take-out menu and Chinese style menu
Family friendly. Can get busy. Family run.
Personal favorites:
Fried Spicy Prawn
Siu Lung Bao
Mongolian beef

Dishes taste good. The environment is better than others with beautiful desk clothing and the waiter is nice. Duck cooked with beer is nice and seems like cooked by my Mum .snow pea leaf is fresh.

Would have been 5 Stars, but my server had lots of trouble keeping my Tea Glass Full. Had to ask for Refills Everytime. Food was good & large portions.

Friendly wait staff, generously sized portions and good food. Definitely recommend for lunch. The lunch menu is a great deal for around $7. Comes with soup, spring roll, rice, and an entre large enough that I had leftovers.

Okay food, terrible experience. The wait staff is extremely slow and rude. They wouldn’t let us have two cups for a $6 pot of tea, each person apparently has to order their own entire pot of tea–which is not explained in the menu. They told us this after we said “we would like to order a pot of tea to share.” We were annoying that they wouldn’t accept our food order without trying to up sell us (shrimp fried rice instead of chicken). They tried to short us our soup and spring rolls that are supposed to come with lunch, then brought us the wrong food! Food is mediocre, and came out cold. They have an entire booth taken over in the dining area with office supplies and paper work. The fish tank is poorly maintained and cruel to the animals. Will not be returning.

Legit authentic Chinese food served here as well as the staples of American Chinese menus.
You can get item off menu dishes if you ask. We enjoyed a “hot pot” which had to be reserved in advance, but was excellent. Staff is friendly and more than welcome to explain their food and expose you to something new.

The food here is delicious! It is reasonably priced considering how much food you get. It appears to be family owned, and you know it has to be good if the family is eating there, too! The service was wonderful, and we never felt neglected. I ordered the hunan beef which is spicy (so don’t order it if you can’t handle the heat). The beef came with mushrooms and broccoli with fried rice, spring roll, and hot and sour soup with a soda for around 10 bucks plus ti we went around lunch). . There are a lot of choices to make, so I would look up the menu beforehand, especially if you are indecisive (like me). Will be going back!

Peking City Bistro is the best Chinese restaurant in Kentucky. The food is amazing! The plating is very artistic . The service is always outstanding! Their Hot and Sour soup should be marketed! Prices for the food quality are very acceptable!

We ordered the general’s chicken, Mongolian beef and fried dumplings. Total was $35 with a tip. The dumplings were the greasiest we have ever had. Bourbon chicken had fat throughout. As if it has not been trimmed, and was SWIMMING in sauce. The Mongolian beef was average at best. Not much beef, too many whole peppers. For the money, I feel the quality was really lacking. I read other Google reviews prior to making the trip over to order carryout and was swayed by the comparison to August Moon. I strongly disagree with that comparison. Nice people but we will not return.

Definitely worth trying and, in my opinion, worth going back many more times.
This is one of those places you might accidentally overlook while driving down Shelbyville Road. It’s a smaller restaurant, but the food is great. The regular menu has a lot of the stuff you’d get from any place that serves westernized Chinese food like General Tso’s and crab rangoons, but they also have a second menu with some really great offerings like salt and pepper squid, tea-smoked duckling, and curry chicken skewers.
So if you feel like trying something new, but the rest of the people in your party are not, there’s a good mix of safe and adventurous offerings here, and just about everything I’ve gotten from the second menu I’ve enjoyed tremendously.
