I came here after a long days work volunteering for IDES. The food was amazing, I was so stuffed after eating here. The service was amazing, our server hosted us well and the owner kept checking in with us and chatting with us. My complements to the chef, thank you so much, your food was amazing! Would totally recommend for southern style hospitality and amazing food!

I love this restaurant but, every time I’m here I order the same thing. Buffet to go and it usually runs about $20. Well this time it cost $30. The cost of everything is going up except for wages. This is almost to expensive for a single person to eat the buffet.

Service was good. Food was flavorless but edible. Kids got mandarin oranges that were bad and tasted of alcohol. I spoke to the cashier to have them pulled off the buffet yet she did nothing. Next thing I know there is a little one about 1-1.5 yrs old eating them. I informed the mom. Both parents tasted them as said the same as my kids. Asked for a manager and explained the situation just to be blown off. No apology nothing and they STILL didn’t pull them off the buffet yet $60 to feed two adults, a 12 yr old and a 3 yr old and it wasn’t worth $20. We will not be going back.

Flavorless
We left with only a few bites taken from a plate. When brought to someone’s attention she acted as if we was trying to steal food, even though we said we’d pay for it! Even asked was we sure.

I really enjoy eating at Peking downtown Pikeville. Staff is very courteous. They keep the buffet filled, and the food is fresh. Highly recommend.

The past 3 times I have attempted to eat here at 1-3 pm , the buffet food had not been changed in who knows how long. Any fried dish on the buffet was literally hard as a rock and inedible every single time. This used to be a really good restaurant, but I won’t waste anymore money here.

I have eaten at this restaurant quite often, and the food on the buffet is very fresh and not dried out except when they have fried fish, usually on the dinner buffet. The fish was rubbery, with a strange taste to it.
The buffet offers a great salad bar and desert bar to compliment the hot bar.
There is also a variety of ice creams in a freezer to choose from.
The waiters and waitresses have always been very nice, and the service is top-notch!
The restaurant doesn’t offer much of an atmosphere, but they do have two televisions, usually one for the kids and one for the adults.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant due to the selection of food they offer.
I would, however, like to see them offer more dishes involving seafood, in particular crab meat and shrimp. They do offer one dish that involves crab, and that is their stuffed crab, and it has always been very tasty!
So the next time you are in Pikeville, Kentucky, stop in and enjoy! I know I will!
