One of Panama’s great sushi and hand roll restaurants. I personally like Umi and Makoto better, but they’re also easily 30% more expensive. This is bang for your buck. Best hand rolls are Salmon Truffe and Ikura. Spicy Tuna roll sushi is bomb. And the Rock Shrimp is also wonderful. The entire seating is around a massive bar. Very intimate and great service. Highly recommend.

Cozy little place where the chefs heroically prepare your sushi right in front of you, just in case you were worried it might teleport in from the kitchen. The portions are… how do I put this politely… emotionally supportive, not physically filling. Also expensive compared to what we’re used to, and so dark inside that we weren’t entirely sure if we were eating sushi or just imagining it.
To be fair, the food was fresh and actually tasted great — no complaints there. Unfortunately, our expectations arrived wearing a tuxedo, while reality showed up in flip-flops. This place could really benefit from a short exchange program with a few Vancouver sushi restaurants.
The bill? $300 USD for 4 adults and 2 kids, and no one had to loosen a belt or rethink their life choices afterward. In Canada, something like this would’ve been $250 CAD max and we’d need a nap. But hey — it’s downtown Panama, so you’re not paying for portion size, you’re paying for the privilege of being there. Appetite sold separately.
Oh, and the English language is on vacation, but again, we are in Panama and not in Oxford!

Nice food, nice deco, don’t take a table on the sofa, you won’t see what you eat and they’ll forget about you. Waited way too long for the bill, mixed up the plates, not much care…that’s a pitty because the place itself is really nice. Hope they step up their game

The atmosphere and ambience are fantastic. I dined here twice. The first time, there was an issue but they resolved it with such a positive attitude and such grace that I had to go back the next day for dinner. The sushi is simply melt in your mouth delicious. Next time I am in Panama, I will come back here for dinner. Thank you Peix Kru for terrific dining experiences.

Beautiful bar and delicious food! The fish melted in my mouth and the price was reasonable compared to other similar restaurants in Panama.
You sit in a sushi bar and see the chef in action during your meal. The nigiris were super fresh and delish. The handrolls were ok and the crudos were amazing too.
The servers were nice but forgot my cocktail, which was ok because they gave me a free glass of champagne for my bday. They also took a while on a few items.
I’d definitely be back!!

never come here with elevator, the restaurant was hidden somewhere in an apartment building, didn’t have any information what floor we stuck for over an hour in the elevator calling 911 no help cause it’s holiday and they didn’t speak English, please don’t come here
