I received the wrong order and tried calling the store to fix it. They answered and hung up on me three separate times. After that, they stopped answering the phone completely. I had to call more than five times just to try to speak to someone.
Seven hours later, I finally reached a man who claimed to be the General Manager named Wilson. When I calmly explained that “I had an issue with my order from earlier that day”, he paused for several seconds and responded rudely as if he did not understand what I was saying. I repeated myself clearly and slowly few more times and he still acted as if he did not understand what I am saying and started saying random things like: “oh do you want to place a order?” “oh you want to pick up a order?”. I have only a very minor accent, and it was obvious that he understood me but was intentionally acting confused. His behavior felt dismissive and discriminatory. It came across as racially motivated and deeply disrespectful.
When I asked to speak to his supervisor or manager, he hung up on me once again.
If this is how a General Manager treats customers, it explains everything about the store’s service culture. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable. Corporate leadership needs to seriously review how this location is being managed.
I would like to get contacted by the higher up about this very unpleasing situation.

I used to love Pei Wei (pre-pandemic). I went today after an absence of several years and was surprised at the poor quality of the food. I remember eating high quality chicken. I order firecracker chicken and it has thick breaded material that you would hardly know you’re eating chicken. It tastes like hush puppies from a seafood restaurant with little bits of chicken rolled in for sampling.
