Good evenoing Google Family Family.. I visited for the first time on Black Friday, 2025. I needed some shoes and some boots and I found and bought both. We visited Pei Wei Asian Express after shopping. I was so hungry!!! I ordered the 3 item combo meal. I selected noodles, sesame chicken and green beans, I also wanted an egg and spring roll. We found a table and sat down and ate. Everything was so delicious!!! It was pretty busy since it is Black Friday. The staff that waited on us were nice and the guy who rang us up was very nice. He talked about my Green Eagles shirt and he said he liked the colors. I visited the rest room and it was nice and clean. I enjoyed my time here. We were eating at the Food Court. There were many places to choose from to eat. A good experience I had and I would return here again to eat. Good night, be healthy, fit and fabulous especially for people over 50 years of age. The 3 Item combo was $11.29 and the egg roll and spring roll was $2.29 each. Total was $16.98.

Every time I go here they are always in a hurry. I don’t have time to look at the options for the food I want and the food is at times crunchy , undercooked or burnt. I had ordered 3 plates and a side and since they were such in a hurry they messed up my order. Coke machine was awful. I gotten a coke and it tasted like dirty water. Employee had an attitude and assumed that I was trying to steal my own side.

Looks good but is soooo nasty. I can eat anything. Forreal, anything but this food is unacceptable. Someone didnt fully rinse out their pots when making the “asian noodles”. The noodles literally taste of bleach. It burned my tongue and my mouth water excessively. The honey shrimp still have their tails and their “poo string”. And the orange chicken isn’t even orange chicken. I don’t even know the taste but it’s definitely not orange chicken. I’m not expecting exceptional, just edible and this place is not either edible or exceptional. Its so bad i dont even want my money and im not finishing it. Keep the money, you clearly need it.

Beware if you only order 1 item combo ( meat and fried rice) because you will be charged for2 items they will just double up on rice/noodles without telling you and charge you for the two items anyway. If you want to only be charged for the meat you need to specify you want a kids order which is just a normal one item combo at any other Chinese restaurant. This should be advertised, had I known I was paying for two items we would have gotten another main item besides extra noodles.

I didn’t realize this place has changed names / owners. It used to be Mandarin Express, that explains a lot.
My husband asked to sample the firecracker shrimp before he got it and the lady said no, we don’t sample the shrimp. So, you have to buy it and if you don’t like it… oh well. There is also an additional charge for the shrimp.
Honestly, the Mongolian chicken I got was hard and the food quality isn’t something I plan to go back for again.
The rice was also weird tasting the day we went as well. We both commented on the weird rice flavor (zero vegetables in it / just rice). My husband didn’t eat his rice because of the flavor.
***After reading the other reviews about a few people getting sick and someone finding a cockroach in their food, we won’t be back.
The receipt is for 2 meals, 1 drink and the added charge for the shrimp. The money would be better spent at the grocery store or at another food establishment. Back in the day this place was a regular stop for us, things have changed very much since then, sad. 🙁
