AMAZING blueberry pancakes and blueberry wildrice sausage!!! I loved everything about this place. It’s exactly what I look for in a true cafe experience. I am a pancake snob. I RARELY find pancakes that I REALLY enjoy, but these ones were truly superb. I am normally the last one at the table to clean my plate but I inhaled these pancakes so fast that I felt bad for not offering one more bite to my boyfriend when I saw that he was still eating and I was done! Super fast service. Very reasonably priced. There were some really cool characters inside and pictures of the people who have eaten there all over the walls. Can’t wait to go back!

This is one of my favorite places for a diner breakfast. I find it entertaining to sit at the counter and watch the employees work. As I mentioned to them this morning, they are a very well-oiled team. I have never left the place feeling less than fully satisfied with my delicious breakfast at a very reasonable price.

We tried Peg’s Countryside after hearing about it from a friend. We were not disappointed! It’s a cozy little cafe serving up cozy, comfort food.
I had the chorizo skillet which was great and my wife has an omelet with a pancake on the side. She also really enjoyed her breakfast – and she’s picky about pancakes. The sausage links were excellent and much more high quality than most places.
It’s regular-sized portions with a focus on quality for a great price. What’s not to love?

I forgot the cardinal rule when reviewing a restaurant…”the camera eats first!” So, I didn’t get a picture of my breakfast this morning. I had the server order for me, and also unfortunately didn’t ask what I was served. It was a skillet breakfast full of meat and slightly undercooked hashbrowns but perfectly cooked eggs. My guest had the eggs hollandaise, that he said were a lot more than adequate – his understated way of saying they were excellent. An enjoyable country cafe that is doing something right for being so popular for so long. For what it is worth, I believe my first visit here was 45 years ago. Update – visited again last week, server ordered Country Eggs and Sausage for me. Perfect, and I remembered to take a pic.

Best breakfast/brunch spot in the area. Most menu items are under $10. Cozy dining room turns over quickly, we were seated immediately at a table for two. Standout items are the Raspberry French Toast and the Country Fried. Peg’s is worth going out of your way for – highly recommended.

My Breakfast Corn beef breakfast came out grounded up and close to minced. I’m not a one to complain but appearance wise it looked aweful. Eggs and toast was good.

Love this little cafe!! Stop here about once every few months for homestyle food.. Delicious every time Customer Service is outstanding too The BYOB aka build your own breakfast was tasty. My only complaint is my eggs were a little runny and I asked for my eggs to be over-easy. The coffee is really good. They remodeled recently and added a backroom dining area consisting of a few tables, a few booths. Bathroom was clean. Overall experience was awesome as usual. Stop in there for breakfast or lunch, hopefully your experience will be as great as mine has been.. Thank you staff, keep up the fantastic work
**Did I mention that actor Mickey Rooney dined here back in 1984? One of my pics proves it.. pretty cool!!!

I recently dined at Peg’s Countryside Cafe and couldn’t be happier with my experience. The food and service were both top-notch. Their pies, especially the chocolate cream and pecan, are a must-try!
One heads-up: parking can be challenging, so aim to arrive early.
Highly recommended for a delicious meal!

A busy little roadside diner with efficient service and excellent food. I took my four kids (ages 8-14) here for the first time today and it was great! We checked in and had to wait in our van for maybe five minutes before getting a call that our table was ready. Once seated we were provided with many great breakfast and lunch options. We all chose breakfast and each something different (e.g., burrito, pancakes, French toast, skillet). All of us loved our selections and finished every bite. I got the breakfast burrito and it was superb, with spicy chorizo, hash browns, cheese, eggs, etc. Definitely coming back for the burrito alone!
The staff were all friendly, patient, and quick. The atmosphere was typical of a diner, with families and friends dropping in for Sunday brunch. Lots of conversation throughout the establishment. With a McDonald’s next door, I’m happy to see how busy this diner is, but it’s also easy to see why it’s so busy. If you’re in the area considering this place, don’t hesitate; you won’t be disappointed.
