Peggy, the original owner, is back! If you want a great meal and a good price, this is the place! They serve breakfast all day! (Biscuits and sausage gravy are so good). The food is fresh and delicious. While you there ask about Peggy’s famous bullet hole that is still in the wall. Small town feel with down to earth prices and great taste makes Peggy’s a must do when in Edgewater. The food is something I would drive a ways for. The friendly serve is another great reason. To stop in.

Arrived and Ordered a Florida consisting of 1 egg 2 pieces of bacon and half order of biscuits and gravy, as I finished the eggs I noticed a hair on the plate at the bottom of the eggs. Not one waitress asked how our meals were and handed us our checks. I walked to the front to pay with my plate to show the waitress and she said I can take it off not sorry this happened to you do you want another meal. I said no I’ll pay for it no issue and they insisted. Low quality food . Low quality service.

We had Thanksgiving Day reservations for 2 pm. We arrived and the doors were locked. One of the servers came to the door and informed us they were out of food. There was another group there as well that also had reservations but were turned away. It seems people without reservations got there earlier and were served and that is why they ran out. If they knew they had people coming with reservations they should have made sure they had enough food for them. Terrible business practice. We won’t be eating at Peggy’s in the future.

Kind of Highway food for older folks on a bland diet. Good prices portions were pretty nice sizes but lacked lots of taste and flavor. Was a nice little restaurant very clean for the most part everybody was friendly soon as a crowd comes in everybody loses their mind. Was a nice little experience just wasn’t for us we like a little Spice in our life.

The biscuits here are divine! The server was friendly, quick, and helpful with suggestions. I recommend this place as a good old fashioned diner, perfect for breakfast, and they open early!

Second visit to this restaurant. I was impressed by how clean PEGGY’s country kitchen is, and my waitress Judy was very attentive to my needs. It was as if she knew what I was thinking, which is a true mark of professionalism in my experience.
The food was delicious. Generous portions and more than I could eat. I had their breakfast. The coffee hot and had a good flavor.
The price was reasonable in my opinion. They serve lunch and supper as well. Peggy’s is one of those “hole in a wall” places that I will definitely be returning to. I hope you will agree!

Worst breakfast I’ve ever had! Eggs ok, hashbrowns tasted old and freezer burnt and were dry, grits so lumpy and thick( no butter didn’t help) ,bacon ok but the thinest slices ever, and the english muffin, which is extra money was so drowning in butter I couldn’t take one bite! Service was OK but not great. Won’t be back!!

Like it says – it’s a homey place with nice people serving good food. They have a lot of specials on the board. Love the garlic butter chicken with pierogies! You get big portions for a good price.
Update: They now have an all you can eat salad bar for lunch and dinner menu items.
