I found this place was the first place I’ve found gluten-free French toast. I had to substitute their pancake syrup for strawberries, but it was fabulous. They get the bread from a local bakery. My friend had tasty biscuits and gravy. We both enjoyed and I look forward to trying there other locations in San Marcos and Vista (I think).

Really great food and service and everything. It’s busy but big enough to usually have a seat for everyone that comes and the service is very accommodating and attentive. Francine was our waitress and she has a smile that lights up the room and a very positive disposition that makes you feel at home being there.

Wow. Simply blown away. The gluten free waffles people. Buckwheat flour! What? In Escondido? I ate my entire breakfast, which is highly unusual. Waffle, eggs and sausage. It was so delicious. Great pricing and large portions. Friendly service. What a find!

We’ve been wanting to dine here for sometime now, finally made the move. The staff was first rate and the food was delicious!!! I ordered sausage eggs Benny and my girlfriend had pancakes. Poached eggs and hashbrowns both meals were fantastic. The staff is very welcoming and the food turn around is pronto. Will definitely be returning.

Decided to patronize this establishment for breakfast before heading over to the escondido renfaire. Good food at reasonable prices. I opted for the chicken fried steak breakfast and my lady had their French toast. We’ll enjoyed by both of us. All in all a solid establishment to enjoy a hearty breakfast.

Outstanding everything, accept maybe the Service. Servers could have been more attentive. Go for the food, not the service. Wonderful selections.
I had the Classic Benedict

Good retro diner. Ate in places like this 40 or 50 years ago, probably with the same menu (but they’ve updated prices so I know it’s no time travel film). Will come here again next time I pass through, if the opportunity presents itself. Abundant quantities of good, wholesome, traditional food in a clean, main street environment. Neglected to take photos of the food served, but I couldn’t finish it and that doesn’t happen often.

Great food and great service. I’m grateful the coffee didn’t have a burnt and bitter taste. A lot of diner coffees tend to taste that way. I drink mine black, and this was smooth. Love that Francine kept asking to refill it. That’s proper service. She was great!

I like this Pegah’s better than the other one in San Marcos. The employees are nice here, and the art (paintings) on the walls are copies of famous pieces, all matching the same vibe and time period. I really loved looking at the art while eating. The food was good too. The potatoes were especially delicious. The restaurant was super busy when I came in on a Sunday morning, but shocking they got a table for 4 people within 15 minutes! Yay! Our total was $80 (before tip) for 4 adults. Expect to spend at least 20 bucks per person. The restrooms were pretty small and tight though…not really the most wheelchair accessible.

I have one of the breakfast quesadillas options. It was good and I loved the hash browns. Next time I think I would try one of their more popular dishes if in the area. Very filling
