Pegah’s on 87th is more than a restaurant to our family, it is part of our life rhythm. We have been coming here for years after Church, and they welcome us the same way every time—with warmth, familiarity, and genuine care. They know our names, they know our kids, and they treat us like we belong.
The breakfast is consistently excellent. Eggs are done right, coffee stays full, and everything comes out hot and fresh. But what truly sets Pegah’s apart is the people. This is a place built on relationships, not transactions.

Even though there was a line , we were seated as soon as we talked to the hostess. Our food was hot and good. Our server refilled our drinks without asking. She told me Happy Mother’s day, very sweet! i would definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Ordered the steak and eggs, and it was cooked perfectly. All the food was excellent, and probably one of if not the best breakfast place in Johnson county. My girlfriend ordered the waffle combo, and she said it was the most crispy delicious waffle that she has had in a very long time.

If you go to this lovely restaurant it is because the amazing service they have, our waitress went above and beyond. She clearly made a difference in our lunch.

Now I do declare, Pegahs has been home to some of the most DELECTABLE breakfast cuisines I have ever had the pleasure of satiating my hunger with.
In terms of FLAVOR, my favorite items are the French toast, Chicken & waffles, AM Starter, and a few others. There is certainly an emphasis on the home-style aspect, it has all the charm of a home cooked meal from Meemaw. My compatriots and I ALWAYS journey to the Pegahs to cap off a wonderful weekend. Have never had a bad experience at any Pegah’s location. Always get breakfast no matter the time of day. Attended a club meeting in their back room and still received great service with 20 people attending.
