Maybe the best fried shrimp I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned.

The raw oysters were outstanding as well. Fresh, plump, perfectly cold, nice cocktail sauce on the side with extra horseradish.

The baked oysters were okay, nothing special, but I found shells in almost half of them which almost chipped the living hell out of my teeth.

Would definitely come back for the raw oysters and the fried shrimp anytime.

First-time visitor from Maryville, TN, and Peg Leg Pete’s in Pensacola, FL did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The drinks were just as impressive—refreshing and expertly made.

A big shoutout to our server, John—he was awesome! Friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. His great service really made the whole experience even better.

If you’re in Pensacola, Peg Leg Pete’s is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Met with cousins for dinner. I had swordfish with new potatoes and sugar snap peas. My wife had blackened grouper with rice pilaf and Cole slaw. Both also came with garlic toast. Everything was delicious. The service was very good. Had to wait a little bit for the table but not too bad. The atmosphere was good… a little loud for a family get together though.

Great Pensacola Beach restaurant and bar. Super cool vibe and decor. The food was amazing. Our Bartender was great, took a lot of time to address an allergy for shellfish, even had the manager come speak to us , very careful and caring which is really important. Will go again for sure.

We went on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was packed and had to wait about 45 mins to be seated. But there was the playground for the kids to enjoy while waiting. Once seated the service was great, pretty quick getting food out to us. It was somewhat expensive but you pay for what you get and we got really good food and service. Even the kids meals are huge so I would consider that if you have multiple children who can share meals to cut down on your bill. Plus it’s Peg Leg’s and the beach environment that you can’t beat. Recommend to all.

Pegleg Pete’s is a funky styled restaurant with good food and good service. The exterior wall when walking into the restaurant is covered with old license plates.

The interior walls and ceiling are lined with a variety of artifacts related to pirates and the beach.

That decor sets the scene for a delightful meal with a large menu and good service. On this visit, Sara was our waitress and she did an excellent job. She knew the contents of the menu, answered questions about the various dishes and made sure our experience was a good one.

We actually stopped here from reading the various oyster dishes on the internet menu. So, when ordering a meal, I started with six steamed oysters. They were cooked perfectly, they were large oysters, and had a great flavor.

The daily special was a swordfish sandwich. It was also cooked perfectly and had a delicious flavor.

My wife ordered stuffed shrimp. They were very salty. She explained that to Sara and the order was easily replaced with grilled shrimp that were cooked perfectly.

Overall, this was an excellent experience with good food, a funky kind of atmosphere and excellent service. This restaurant does get very crowded during busy times of the year. Going to eat here on a cold winter day cuts down on the crowds!

We were greeted and seated right away, which was a great start. The restaurant has such a fun, beachy vibe with cute decor, low lighting, and both indoor and outdoor seating options. The place appeared clean overall, but it’s clear they don’t deep clean regularly—there was visible dust and crumbs along the booth padding.

Now for the food — phenomenal! We ordered the tuna special with rice and new potatoes, and everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The tuna was tender and flavorful, the potatoes soft and buttery, and the rice was spot on. We also had the shrimp and crab steamer, which came with corn on the cob, sausage, and new potatoes. It was good—nothing extraordinary, but definitely on par with similar seafood spots. The only downside was the corn being slightly undercooked.

We also tried a cup of fish chowder, which was tasty, and the Oysters Rockefeller for our appetizer. Unfortunately, the oysters didn’t come out until after we asked about them. Our waitress admitted she wasn’t sure why, but they were brought out right away after that—likely just a slip-up. Regardless, they were excellent: great flavor and perfectly seasoned.

Service overall was good, even with that small hiccup. The restaurant does get very loud, so if you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this might not be the spot. But if you want delicious seafood in a lively, fun atmosphere, Peg Leg Pete’s is definitely worth a visit.

Even in the off-season, Peg Leg Pete’s is clearly the place to be! We visited near the holidays and it was buzzing. Pro tip: Expect a wait, but the food is absolutely worth it.

They have a great playground area to keep the kids entertained while you wait for a table, which is a total lifesaver. I had the Blackened Grouper, and it was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in the area—perfectly seasoned.

Another huge plus? The kids’ meals come in a small sand pail. It’s such a clever touch and came in very handy for playing at the beach the next day. This is a must-visit!

This place is great but off the beaten path in Pensacola Beach. It has great food at a reasonable price unlike the tourist gouging on the main drag. Our hostess was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere seemed mom and pop goes large restaurant and they pull it off well. I highly recommend this for my friends and I will be back.

Amazing food in a cool place. Their red beans and rice was heavenly, spicy, and with a little bit of sausage in it. We really liked their sauteed blue crab claws as well. Very creative dish and very tasty. Washed it down with an oyster shooter.
