Wanted to try the Peets store and was thrilled to see their selection of whole beans – many organically sourced and offering donations to environmental causes (like the Yosemite National Park Conservancy). Tried to download the app but it seems clunky with empty promises of discounts and coupons. Nevertheless, Sam, the manager, commiserated with our frustrations and offered our drinks complimentary – which was totally unnecessary. But honestly, this provided us the opportunity to experience her master barista skills! She made us an Havana Cappuccino with perfect foam, perfect pour, perfect sweetness, and perfect temperature, all the while making friendly conversation with her cheerful smile. Her barista, Bijan, shared with us stories of the “art of the pour-over.” He definitely knows his beans and his techniques. Very happy to meet them both!

Peet’s Coffee is arguably one of the better chain coffee spots compared to the likes of SB and CB. Thousand Oaks location offers great service and baristas make consistently good coffee. Can’t really comment on food options offered here as I usually only grab something to drink. Decent amount of seating inside and outside on the patio. Daughter loves their iced lavender latte if you prefer something on the cooler side:)

My friend flew in from Chicago and all she wanted was a chai latte. I went to two other shops, the first was mid and the second only sold a spiced tea. And then we went to Peet’s and the staff there were all so cute and nice and my friend said it was the best chai latte she ever had in her life and so we went back all 3 days she was in town.
