The play activities for my 6, 5 and 3 year olds were off the charts! The whole concept is that as long as you order some sort of foods/drink from the menu, kids can play with no additional charge. So genius and affordable!! Especially when most indoor places charge you by each kid participating, which becomes costly when you have three.
My family and I will definitely be coming back!
The food and drinks were all beautiful and delicious. There’s a wide variety to choose from ranging from smoothies, to breakfasts, sandwiches, wraps, salads, lattes (including the delicious and beautiful matcha latte I had), special treats (some of which are decently healthy like chickpea cookie dough balls), fresh fruit, and more. Plenty of gluten free and dairy free options and lots of menu customizations.
So great to support such an amazing LOCAL & FAMILY owned place! Also, look how cute it is. And the owners and employees were all incredibly sweet.
Also, my daughter literally played for hours and didn’t want to leave. I had such a refreshing break and got so much work done while I continuously ordered off their amazing menu. 10/10 would recommend
The magic begins the moment you step inside.
You’re instantly greeted by a friendly face and there is so much to see.
The attention to detail at PPC is outstanding – from the play space, how it’s designed to accommodate different ages and stages; the extra steps they take for cleanliness of the play space and in general (5 stars!), their bathroom (impeccable) and the food and drinks are so memorable because not only are they absolutely DELICIOUS, everything is presented in a beautiful way!
I love how easy it is to order, using a QR code with the option to open a tab or pay as you go.
The owners are lovely and you can tell how much love has gone into making this place into something spectacular for families in SWFL to enjoy.
The menu selection is also solid!! They have some pretty healthy options and offer GF/DF options as well. I love how much variety there is and the drinks are soo good, too!
Peculiar Play Cafe has become my favorite spot when I need to work a couple hours while my daughter plays and makes new friends.
They also have great taste in music. Kudos to whoever makes the playlist.
My favorite part is that this cafe is locally owned and operated – which makes it even sweeter to support.
The food was great, but the play area really sets this place apart. They have a full-size Lite-Brite that brought back so many childhood memories, along with a fun climbing area and a super cool suction ball machine that kept my kids entertained the entire time.
This spot is a dream for working parents—there’s a comfortable area where adults can get some work done while the kids play safely nearby. The husband-and-wife owners were incredibly friendly, and you can feel the heart they’ve put into creating this place.
I’m so glad something like this exists in Southwest Florida. Highly recommend—definitely check it out. You’ll enjoy it
The atmosphere is amazing, all the decor is beautiful, and by beautiful I mean absolutely gorgeous! The play area is well thought out and really lets little imaginations blossom. The bathroom was very clean and had a nice changing area. The little baby space was great to keep our tiniest family member busy and safe from bigger feet.
The food was delicious! Seriously so good. Not just cheap food, but I could tell they really cared and took pride in the food. The family grazing board is an amazing idea and was perfect! Honestly I would go here just for the food, even without my kiddos. And the seasonal peppermint mocha was awesome!
We just stopped by for a visit while we were vacationing in Sanibel but I wish we could pack them in our suitcase and bring Peculiar Play Cafe back to Ohio with us!
Good options for gluten and dairy free too, just an intolerance not an allergy, but I was able to get plenty of food and snacks.
We will definitely come back if we’re in the area again!
