I’m posting this review a little late, but going through my photo reel from our summer 2024 trip reminded me just how much I want to go back. My wife and I stumbled across Peckers by accident, and it ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our visit to Eureka Springs.
At first glance it looked like a simple Southern chicken tender spot—something in the lane of Slim Chickens or Cane’s—but the food here is on a whole different level. Imagine your favorite chicken tender place, and then imagine the tenders actually tasting like the best Southern fried chicken you’ve ever had. That’s Peckers. The breading on the chicken is honestly unexplainable—crispy, flavorful, perfect in every way.
And everything else we had was just as good. The cornbread was the softest, most perfectly textured and perfectly sweet cornbread I’ve ever had. I don’t even like black-eyed peas normally, and theirs were amazing. I’m pretty sure we had mashed potatoes or another side too, but the chicken, the cornbread, and those black-eyed peas stuck with me all this time.
The atmosphere was super clean and welcoming, and the people running the place were incredibly friendly—genuinely happy to have us there.
We can’t wait to come back to Eureka Springs just to eat here again. We’ll see you next time!

The chicken and the Mac and cheese is phenomenal. Very good. The chicken is very fresh crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Mac and cheese looks like crab cakes but once you put your fork in it, the taste is very good def recommend. The corn bread was not too good and a lot of butter. The Cole slaw wasn’t good either but everything else was very good.

I’m sure this place is great, but I had a negative experience.
The ordering system, I understand the idea behind it. But it make it really hard for customers to give you their money.
The order system is real bottle necked.
If you don’t come in and order immediately you loose your spot in line and it takes an extensive amount of time to get your order in again.
Even after asking multiple times, still no go get in line.
The blonde lady at the front I’m not sure has the correct demeanor for all demographics that visit the shop.
Didn’t get a chance to get food because I couldn’t get my order in time. Which is funny because I’m president of my organization in here from out of town and we are about to start coming here tri annually for large events.
The lady at the front needs to stay at the front she spends more time doing other stuff than taking orders.
She also mixed up and forgot an order at our table then is constantly pestering us asking if we ordered something because even those she takes all the orders, she has no idea where they go.
Negative experience all around. Very disappointed food looked good, too bad I didn’t get to try any of it.

What an awesome find in downtown Eureka Springs. We were visiting the town and stopped in after seeing the reviews. The owner Hunter greeted us and made the visit awesome! We got deviled eggs, tenders, a pulled chicken sandwich and the mashed potatoes with sage pepper gravy. Everything was fantastic but the gravy was one of the best sauces I have ever tried, definitely get extra sauce for dipping! The tenders were juicy and crisp and everything came out quickly and seemed super fresh. Next time we will definitely try the desserts. You can place your order/pay directly from the QR at the tables, was very simple and convenient. Can’t recommend this place enough, hope to come back next time we are in town.

The chicken stallion was superb. We ordered a side of cornbread and let us tell you it was delicious. We got also a side of mashed potatoes and Cajun corn. The service is awesome. The place is very nice and has nice painting for sale.

Back in Eureka Springs and we had to stop back to this Great little chicken spot tucked in at the bottom of the hill. Once again great service to go with the great chicken, the cornbread and chicken poutine is definitely my favorite. Also love the constantly evolving art decor that IS for sale. Highly recommended and owners Christine and Hunter are super awesome people. 11 out of 10 for sure.

$21 for the smallest serving of fries, a 12oz can of budlight and a dr pepper (small). Total ripoff, wouldn’t recommend anything from this place. Tiny portions huge price. 2 stars only because the art is cool inside.

We were disappointed. We had a little bit of a big group (13), so we contacted the restaurant the day before. They said they would be ready for us…we were seated right away at 12:11, so off to a good start. At 1:22 I was the first to be served my sandwich which looked great, tasted ok, but was cold. At 1:35 the last person was served. The chicken strips most ordered looked good but were very hit and miss. Some strips tasted good while others tasted old and chewy. Our waiter only came by once in our wait at 1:01 to tell us that they were just going to start our food and it should be out in 10-20 minutes. There were about 6 other tables of two to four people with many tables empty. I’d hate to see them on a busy day.

Great chicken, great owners and a great vibe at Pecker’s. My husband could live off the chicken tenders. Expect high quality and not your cheap side of the road type fare. Allergy friendly. Don’t forget your selfies by the sign .

The tenders were under seasoned but tasted fine. They are very large tenders compared to other places. The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted off. The ranch is good ranch, and the fries are better than normal. The portions were small for the price point. The wait was a little long for food, especially since we were the only ones there. I will say the entire establishment was very clean, especially the bathrooms.
