It took me 6 months to stop in to try Le Spice, but now that I’ve been inside and had a taste, I think I might have a problem. My first visit was on Thursday for lunch because we were driving right by and figured we could give it a try. My second stop was on Friday just to grab a couple pastries for my wife since my co-worker “accidentally” ate the one I had picked up for myself. Since I missed out on my Friday treat I had to come back on Saturday with the family for breakfast. Everything has been fantastic.

I opted for the Duck Bun on my first trip and was not disappointed. The duck was very crispy, but still full of flavor without being dry. The bun was strong enough for a sandwich and soft enough to melt in your mouth. The pickles really set off the flavor and as a whole it was a real treat. I also ordered a side of fries which were perfectly crisp. On the way out I ordered a blueberry danish with an orange glaze that was both tart and sweet. I grabbed a chocolate and custard pastry treat for my wife and she seemed to enjoy it thoroughly.

The following day brought me across the path of Le Spice’s driveway and I suddenly found myself in the parking lot. From there I ended up grabbing another blueberry pastry and a croissant with dark chocolate in the middle for my wife. My co-worker “mistakenly” ate my treat instead of his during the day which I’m assuming he enjoyed. How one mistakes a blueberry treat with a mango one has yet to be explained, but he ate it without complaint or notice so I’ll call that a win for Le Spice.

Saturday morning seemed like a good time to bring the wife and kids for a taste. This time I tried the Thai Green Curry Bowl with chicken, and my wife ordered the Asian Steak and Eggs. We split the The Crepe Stack between our young girls. One of our girls eats everything, and the other is exceedingly picky. They both lapped it up and loved every bite. The curry was fantastic with an excellent coconut flavor and the perfect amount of spice. The flavor came through without being over powered by heat and the chicken was tender and flavorful. My wife’s steak was fantastic and perfectly cooked. The bacon was nice and crispy and the greens had what I assume was a peanut glaze drizzled over them. Whatever it was it was delightful. The eggs were just pretty standard scrambled eggs.

We shared some croissants and a bowl of French Onion Soup. The soup is incredible with lots of onions and a super rich broth, however ours did not have a traditional crouton and provolone on top. There was a seeded bread and a different flavor cheese. I’m not sure what kind of cheese it was, it was still very good, but not a traditional French onion topper with provolone that we are accustomed to. It also looked different than their other photos so ours may have been an oddity for some unforeseen reason.

I grab lunch on the go a lot and am afraid I may visit Le Spice a little too often now that I know about the goodness inside. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you give it a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Tried taking the daughter someone different. She liked the crepes, but hated the brie cheese. Prices were not bad, but also weren’t cheap. Didn’t have any options for children. Food was cooked to order and tasted fresh. Not a terrible experience but definitely not a place to take the kids. 4 out of 5.

Very cute spot and a real find. We detoured through Spartanburg on our way from Charlotte to Asheville for Le Spice. Was taken aback initially when we realized it’s not a full service cafe. But the food is really special. The bacon, egg and brie crepes accompanied by the escargot (YES escargot for breakfast!) was perfect. If you just so happen to find yourself in Spartanburg, for whatever reason, seek this place out and ye shall find goodness.

Abso#*$@ingloutley delicious!!! If you plan on coming during the week for lunch hour get here by 11:45 or there won’t be parking for you for a good bit. The duck bun is amazing as is everything else. The baked goods are pure french with a rustic hearty tweak. Location is great and the outside seating in the warmer month is fantastic. It’s great to see this place as packed as it is. The owners and staff pour their heart into this biz and you can taste it! Keep it up guys!!!

Fairly good first visit. Missed getting to try the onion jam I ordered. Good food, friendly people, steep prices. The burger bun definitely seemed fresh baked. The sweetfries were nice. I hope they make it through the COVID-19 shutdown and growing pains of a newer business.

Incredible local independent bakery. Best breakfast I’ve had in a while. Try the William the Conqueror omlette and the French toast!

This place surprised me so much. The flavor of their crapes is amazing and my own mother would be jealous. The bread is made here and all ingredients simply hit the spot.

This was our first visit. The server made some helpful recommendations and that’s what we ordered. The food was wonderful and was priced close to the same as you would pay elsewhere.
