Such a cute, little spot tucked away in the heart of several beautiful neighbourhoods! The sushi was extremely fresh and the owners were honestly so kind and hospitable. The prices here are definitely on the higher end but honestly, the quality of the sushi, sashimi and even the miso soup made it feel all worth it! Everything tasted clean, fresh and truly made with intention. They even surprised us with matcha ice cream at the end of our lunch, which was so sweet and thoughtful. It was a slow Friday afternoon and it turned out to be genuinely an amazing experience. I left so happy, full and wanting to come back to support them again! Definitely a lovely local sushi hub, thank you for such a warm experience, can’t wait to be back!

We spent about $92 for two people. The food quality was good, especially the tacos, which were very tasty. We ordered a sushi set, fried chicken, and two tacos. The price is a bit high, but the service was great, and they offered a small ice cream at the end.
Overall, a nice experience

We love going to Pearl Sushi in Richmond Hill! The food is always super fresh and yummy, and our kids enjoy it just as much as we do. Even when the place is busy, the staff are so friendly, keep smiling, and give great service. It’s one of our go-to spots, and honestly, the staff are beautiful too

Ordered the 4-piece tuna and 4-piece salmon sashimi combo for $17(+tax), and the portions were laughably tiny. Two pieces together weren’t even as wide as my pinky finger (see photos). For that price, it’s unacceptable. Really disappointing — I won’t be back.

I’m running Omakase in Korea. When it comes to taste, here deserves top notch within the same tier restaurant. Ingredients are really fresh and it looks owner chef is delicately and technically well managing quantity and quality of sauces. This restaurant became my go-to in this region. Service was also superb! How Small but Gigantic restaurant it will be.

This Japanese restaurant serves up high-quality sushi and sashimi that’s clearly made with care. The freshness of the fish stands out, and each dish is beautifully presented. If you’re someone who appreciates attention to detail and clean flavors, this place definitely delivers on that front.

However, it’s on the pricier side, especially for the portion sizes. You’re paying for the quality, which is fair—but it might not be the best spot if you’re looking for value.

The interior is quite small, so it can feel a little cramped during peak times. It’s cozy, but not ideal if you’re going with a larger group or looking for a spacious dine-in experience.

One thing to note: if you’re only after a sashimi combo, it can be a bit tricky. Most of the options come in mixed platters or are part of larger sets, so there isn’t much flexibility for sashimi-only meals unless you order a la carte.

Overall, it’s a solid spot for good Japanese food—just be prepared to spend a bit more and have limited space.

Pearl Sushi in Richmond Hill: A Flavorful Challenge Worth Every Bite

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Pearl Sushi in Richmond Hill, and what an experience it was! For lunch, we decided to tackle the Combination Party Tray, a choice that perfectly suited our cravings for a hearty and varied sushi feast.

Ordering the Combination Party Tray for three was a bit of a challenge, but one that turned out to be well worth it. The tray was a visual and gastronomic delight, filled with an assortment of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other delectable items. Each piece was expertly prepared, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients.

The variety in the tray was impressive. From classic rolls to more adventurous options, there was something for everyone. The sushi was flavorful, with the right balance of rice, fish, and seasoning. The presentation was also top-notch, making it not only a treat for the taste buds but for the eyes as well.

The service at Pearl Sushi was friendly and attentive, making sure our dining experience was as enjoyable as possible. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience.

If you’re ever in Richmond Hill and find yourself with a craving for sushi, I highly recommend Pearl Sushi. The Combination Party Tray was a standout choice, offering both a challenge and a satisfying reward for our appetites.

Food is generally good. The (free) miso soup, Tempura, salmon sashimi are good. The roll has generous fillings. They also gave complimentary ice cream

It’s the first time I have been here. It’s small and cozy; there’s only one waiter, she’s nice and enthusiastic. The sushi is very fresh, I really like their salmon poke bowl. Salad and miso soup are free, and also ice cream. The price is reasonable, and it’s a pleasant experience.
