We picked up a couple of General Tso chicken and while hot and fresh, the chicken was overcooked and flaky/hard and the breading greasy. The sauce was clumpy and looked like it had congealed before it had had gone cold. The rice was dry, old and chewy. It honestly tasted like day old rice, tasted mealy and was unpleasant to eat. I tried the fried dumplings and they were ok. The staff was friendly, helpful and smiling.

Went back today and the food was still excellent Singapore rice noodles adding shrimp and crab meat excellent.. never disappoints….
I would give them a 8 star if we could. The place was very clean, and friendly staff. my husband had sweet and sour chicken, I had curry shrimp both were very good. hot n sour soup was excellent, I have had crab Rangoon’s before but these were excellent. Egg rolls and spring rolls were excellent not greasy. give it a try you will not be disappointed. the fortune cookies are excellent too.. overall excellent experience.

For a long while I found Pearl River to be excellent. But the last few times I found that the food was not as good, and today my food was running together in the carry out container. The sauce for the steamed chicken and vegetables were extremely salty.
We couldn’t eat it. But the worse part was when the woman answered the phone by saying, “Yea” with what appeared to be an attitude. I will not being going back and will not recommend my family and friends to go there.

I just ordered from this restaurant this evening 2/14 and I would not recommend it. I give the food and my order 2 thumbs down.
I ordered spicy general chicken with the chicken cooked extra crispy, fried rice and a egg roll.
The rice was cold and obviously old and the chicken wasn’t crispy or spicy. I didn’t even attempt the egg roll.
*Update, it’s the morning of 2/15 and I did throw up twice from that food yesterday.

I just got lunch from Pearl River. It was the first time I’d ever had their food. It was DELICIOUS! I ordered the 17 Lover’s Delight and an egg roll. The eggroll was good, but the Lover’s Delight was the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

We are pretty careful when we order from a Chinese restaurant we haven’t had before, as most of the time it is either really good or really bad. We’ve struggled to find a really good place since we moved to Belleville, but decided to try out Pearl River. Safe to say, we found our place! Everything we ordered was really good. Lots of flavor and the portions are so big that you’ll definitely have leftovers. The fried rice and lomein was especially good. The dumplings are huge and have a lot of dough, and the crab rangoon is of the sweet variety. Mongolian beef is also really good with a tasty sauce. Our only gripe is that we wish the food came in the plastic takeout containers instead of styrofoam, as some of them began to leak.
This will be our go-to place for Chinese takeout from now on.

Been coming here since the early 90,s. Food was always great!!Birthday dinner tonight was HORRIBLE! RAGOON was old and mushy, Hunam Shrimp…vegetables were soggy and sauce was like dark gravy out of a can and cold. The worst was the Kung pow Chicken…loaded with same cold gravy sauce and tasted like just soy sauce. No flavor. I called and ask if they had a new cook and explained how poor the meal was very politely due to being a long time customer. Didn t seem to care. Sadly, won,t be going again..A friend mentioned their last meal so not so good either..:(

My family and I moved to the area a few months ago and I have been so afraid to try any of the Chinese restaurants in the area.
This may actually be the best general tso chicken that I have ever had. The fried rice is fantastic. I also liked the option to choose my level of spiciness. I will be for sure be ordering from here again.
