The drinks were good but feel like they are a little steep for not necessarily being craft cocktails.
Hope they also introduce a great happy hour so it becomes a neighborhood restaurant rather than just a once in a while date night.
To top it all off, the service was impeccable. Kourtland was hands down the best—attentive, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. I’m already planning my next visit. This place is a must-try! #PearlAndFin #FiveStars #FoodieApproved
The dining area is really pretty and pleasing to look at. They also have a patio area (it was raining so I sat inside.
The staff was very attentive. Rudy and Sebastian were nice and able to answer all my questions.
There have plenty of options for $20 lunches (actually a really good deal).
I ended up getting a simple burger and fries- great choice! The fries were well seasoned.
– i think my only issue was being told that there are only so many burgers available (i think that should change, i can understand if this is only because it is a newer restaurant)
You can park in the garage attached to the building and there is actually a door from the garage into the restaurant.
Cant wait to try out their happy hour
Maritime Martini: it was really smooth.
Downtown old fashioned: really good.
Sea cucumber: it was good.
Extra dirty martini: it was good.
Oysters: we had a dozen of east coast oysters, they were fresh, but not as saliney as I like. I wish they had taste profiles descriptions.
Squid ink Calamari: it was good with the sauce.
Tuna tartare: super fresh & straightforward. I thought it looked lighter than expected in terms of color but good.
Charred Octopus: it wasn’t charred but it was AMAZING!! It was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, including the tail, which sometimes would be chewy.
Branzino: it was ok, it could’ve used some seasoning. The carrots purée was good.
The servers were extremely attentive and patient with us and were on top of our drinks/ water
The atmosphere was clean and the chairs were extremely comfortable.
The only downside I’d have to say, with the scallop plate it was paired with corn. I never had that pairing with scallops before and didn’t really mesh well with the seafood but the scallops were great!
Try the grilled seafood skewers, also the Ceviche, and oysters. Most certainly their cocktails.
The service is top notch – our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us pick some delicious oysters when we weren’t sure what to get.
Not only are the oysters fresh, but you also get an amazing variety of various costal oysters (East, west etc), plus the names are top notch, you’ll know what I mean when you go. (Im purposely leaving it a mystery)
The lobster roll actually has a HUGE portion of lobster. (Photo below as proof) They don’t hold back from stuffing that roll, and the lobster is savory and buttery.
The lobster ravioli is creamy and melts in your mouth!
Do not skip on the lamb and COTES DƯ RHÔNE wine!! If you love lamb, you will LOVE the lamb here. Falls off the bone, not chewy and pairs perfectly with their red wine: COTES DƯ RHÔNE and it’s served with a chimichurri sauce
For recently opening this place really nails it! 10/10 recommend
