I would avoid this place at all cost. So food, service, and atmosphere is important. All 3 failed. The food was beyond bland. No flavor to the steak and egg. The eggs had some shells in it. Bread tasted like they been microwaved, and never seen hash browns gooey. The way service is set up. You have to order at the register. Then get a table. And the bad part. If you forget to order a drink you have to get back in line to order it. Weird. Atmosphere seem dark and gloomy. The restaurant need touch up as everything looks like it’s falling apart. Better system to service customers. And new cooks. As they need as much help as they can get. But ultimately this is a place no one should consider breakfast as a option here.

Back in college, when I attended SJSU, I would dine at peanuts, local hangout. It must’ve been at least 22 years since I last ate here and it’s brought back tons of memories. The menu is different and the offerings are current and pretty darn good. Service is really good and is fitting for a college hangout. Really glad to have to opportunity to come back.

Solid breakfast fare at very reasonable prices. The coffee is tasty and the relaxed atmosphere lends itself to conversation and comeraderie with our fellow humans. Order under the menu and pick up your food when they call your number. Fancy? No. Delicious? Yes.

I don’t remember the name of the breakfast plate I had but I sure recall the sausage was so delicious and perfect hashbrowns . The pancakes could be a bit more fluffy but still good. Excellent customer service and cozy atmosphere. How could I have missed this little gem being I’ve been living in San Jose for the past 15 years. Definitely coming back.

I haven’t been back in 15 years but I remember my college days at SJSU very fondly because of peanuts. I went back today and I saw a lot of reviews talking about prices and good. I felt that the food and prices were fine. I think people are attached to the prices from 15 years ago when eveyrhting was below 8 dollars. It’s impossible for the days to come back. The food is still great and the restaurant looks a bit cleaner than before. Overall good experience would recommend.
