The meal was really Delight!! We took Tandoori Chicken,Butter Chicken,Naan Bread and Spicy Chicken Dum Biriyani.The chef made the dishes really in the way we love it. Though its a busy saturday the service was friendly and Attentive. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting. The layout was thoughtfully constructed, is not too cramped and provides easy access. My friends and I had a really nice time at Peacock Indian Restaurant. Restaurant was much improved than before.The wine and music paired nicely with our food.
This is my first five star review.
Only some places give us homely atmosphere, this is one for me.

We were in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento area during the memorial day weekend and visited Peacock restaurant for dinner. There was no buffet though. After a long time I had some good Indian food. Tried out non-veg items and we made it a point to visit the place the next day too. It was great. Good food, easy on the wallet, good service, pleasant place…will visit again if I am in the area.

This is the third incarnation of an Indian restaurant in this location! And it seems to just get better and better. The previous one was awesome, but then started sliding downhill (especially with the service) and last I heard they moved to Davis.
Peacock Indian has started off on a good start with its fresh food, variety of choices and decent service. Came here for their lunch buffet which was about $9 per person. From reading other reviews, it seems that this would probably be your best bet.
The interior is roughly the same as before: booths and tables, small chandeliers, but no Indian historical trivia chutes & ladders game! They have a painting of two peacocks above the buffet area that is crooked! I’m one of those people who gets irked by crooked paintings. I pointed it out to the staff person and he said that it couldn’t be helped due to something or other…
Anyway, they have both meat and vegetarian options. I don’t recall all of the names but this is what I remember:
* Papadams
* Various sauces & chutneys
* Butter chicken
* Saag paneer
* Curry chicken
* Chicken fry
* Pakoras
* Potato fry
* Chicken biryani
* Dahl
* Vegetable korma
* Gulab jamun
* Fresh fruit
* Chai
As you can tell, the only meat option was chicken. I didn’t know you could cook so many Indian dishes with one bird! One dish in particular that I wish I could remember, was so tasty that it warrants coming back for. That was my favorite. The curry chicken also stood out as well as the butter chicken.
Naan comes in a basket to your table. There are two flat screen TVs that show Bollywood videos. Totally coming back here again! I hope this place stays for good.

Great food. Great people. They have traditional dishes and are willing to modify your dish according to dietary restrictions. Very accommodating. They also sell fresh baked Indian cookies and pastries that are very authentic.

No such resturant exists today. This is same as Amrutha appakadai indian chettinad. Sad thing is this shows up on google search and when you call the number listed it re-directs to Amrutha appakadai and they will not reveal about this and keep accepting orders as if it is Peacock. Very bad !!!

Horrible customer service and only one person was nice to me! I was really upset at the fact that the manager himself was yelling at me and I know for a fact regardless how the food was the customer service killed it for me.
