I have to agree with the other reviewers, the food has great flavors and the waiter was friendly and attentive without being too much in your personal dining space. Not a huge selection when compared with the lunch buffet at other Indian restaurants but everything was fresh and tasted great. The rice had some clumps but was still good and the small selection is why I rated a 4 instead of a 5. The three main dishes were all the same flavor profile. They needed some brown curry or tandoori chicken or some other flavor and i would have rated it a 5 even with the rice.

We get something new every time and so far it’s all been delicious! The staff are helpful and courteous, the restaurant is clean, and the food is some of the best in Albany/Leesburg. There is also a great variety of vegetarian options, which I very much appreciate!

I was surprised by a buffet instead of menu-based ordering. I’m thinking this might be just a lunchtime thing though. The offerings were delicious, especially the naan bread. I look forward to going during dinnertime one day to sample the goat and lamb vindaloo, which wasn’t on the buffet. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Indian food is good and this is the only place to get it in town so I am grading on a curve. The service is very good and the food is mostly on par with other Indian restaurants in the southeastern united states.

We went in not knowing what to expect or what anything on the menu was. The waitress helped us with the perfect meal. Naan was hot and fresh, curry was amazing, and appetizer was delicious. We have just become regulars to this place!

The food here is just fantastic! We have eaten at several Indian restaurants over the past couple of years, since a young man from India joined our extended family, but this is easily my favorite, and it’s right here in Albany! We have both dined-in and ordered as take-out, and both ways we have been very, very pleased. The restaurant itself is very clean (cannot testify about the restroom facilities as we did not use them) and the staff is delightful and very patient with the small children in our family. On our first visit, we were a large party so it did take a while for all of our food to come to the table, but everything was well-prepared, very fresh, and absolutely delicious. The chef sent out a complimentary off-the-menu item for us to try, cashew curry, which immediately became my favorite and has been what I’ve ordered since. I personally have very little tolerance for spicy foods, while my husband loves them. We were both able to customize our orders to a level we could each enjoy (they even have an option that is milder than mild, with no heat at all, without losing any of the overall flavor of the dish!) The meats in the dishes that we’ve tried have all been very juicy and tender and perfectly cooked. We were fortunate to have someone in our party to help navigate the menu and help us decide what to order on our first couple of visits. If you aren’t familiar with Indian cuisine, the menu does have explanations of each dish, but they aren’t all very clear descriptors; however, the servers are very friendly and have been very helpful at clarifying when we’ve ordered alone. Overall, I’d say this restaurant is an excellent addition to the dining options in Albany. If you haven’t tried it yet, you definitely should!

Words cannot encapsulate the experience I had here, but I’ll do my best.
The food is absolutely amazing and tastes authentic. I arrived as a group of three and each of us ordered a separate entree, and picked off each other’s order. All three were wonderful. Our food arrived in separate dishes from our plates, allowing us to sort of “self serve” onto our plate,which turned a lunch outing with coworkers into a bonding experience as we sampled each other’s order.
The location is well decortated and in a very nice area. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I appreciated the Indian music/television!
Service was great. I’ve done her a disservice by not remembering her name, but our server was fantastic. Answered all of our questions and treated us like friends, not customers.
The common theme in all of these is just a welcoming environment. Come here with an open mind and an empty stomach and you’ll leave as a better version of yourself.

Since this review, I have returned twice and personally introduced six people who have never had Indian food to this restaurant. All six had their minds blown.

BEST FOOD EVER. Seriously, I have never eaten such good Indian food. The lady who works there as a server is really nice and sweet. We need more people like her in our generation. Overall great food and service! Would recommend 10/10

Ive just got to say this peacock grill Indian cuisine is by far the most authentic Indian food I’ve eaten! The staff is very friendly! Hilary is an amazing waitress and bartender! Inside looks like an old bar and come to find out it is but I love the layout! The music sets the mood just right. I come here at least once a week and the only complaint I have is there’s not enough customers in here. Everyone should try it at least once. Who knows you might just realize what you’ve been missing out on this whole time. Always satisfied. Shrimp biryani hit the spot tonight!
