Found this on FB and, man, I just can’t say enough good things about it! The best BBQ I’ve had in forever. The portions were big, the beans were just right, and the slaw was perfectly sweet. When someone says, “Fall off the bone ribs”‘, this is what they had in mind. The sauce was an excellent compliment, but by no means a must. Unfortunately, there was no banana pudding today, so I’m gonna have to go back on “Banana pudding Saturday”. Which means that I get to stuff myself once again! Very well done, Peach Pit! I WILL return…. Btw, the service, by the owner I’m assuming, was very attentive and instantaneous. I just can’t say enuff good things. So pleasantly surprised….

Peach Pit BBQ has been in this location in Winterville for four years, and I’m bummed I didn’t find out about them until now. Absolutely delicious, tender, and flavorful bbq. My husband and I both had the pork, but there’s also chicken, ribs, and brisket. Hubby had the large Sloppy Hawg sandwich plate, which is basically a lot of pulled pork already mixed with their sweet sauce. Messy and delicious. Our plates also came with Brunswick stew, coleslaw, and chips. I think I’ll skip the slaw and try the potato salad or corn on the cob next time or maybe just ask for a while quart of the stew. They have mild, sweet, hot, and chicken sauce, which are all vinegar based. I mixed the sweet and hot and didn’t think it was too sour at all. Absolutely get the special dessert of the day, especially if it’s banana pudding. Tastes just like the way nana made it – from scratch and in the oven. We left full after spending about $30. Not super busy, and there is ample parking. Owners were really friendly. I highly recommend trying it out.

This is an awesome hole-in-the-wall BBQ place! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing! I have been twice now and have had the BBQ Pork sandwich plate both times. The only thing I can say negatively is that if you want the brisket you need to get there before Saturday.

Their pulled pork, all their sauces, stew and coleslaw are absolutely amazing. The chicken was a bit overcooked but I’m thinking about giving it another chance soon. Looking forward to trying their brisket when it comes back. It was always sold out. Can’t wait to try the ribs.
It’s definitely an authentic southern experience. Reminds me of home. Southern hospitality.

Wonderful ribs (the meat fell off the bone)! Homemade deserts… the red velvet cake had the best icing. Great service / friendly staff (family-owned business). I will definitely visit the Peach Pit again!

I’ve lived in Winterville for 4 years and have always seen this location, but I was always too busy to stop in. Today, my best friend and I decided to stop in and try it out. We both loved it. She had the Pork-n-Slaw sandwich, and I had the half chicken plate. I can tell she loved her meal because it was eaten before I was halfway through mine. My chicken plate was a hearty portion (not small like Jim-n-Nicks) with a great tasting tater salad and mac-n-cheese. I took leftover home for my husband to try when he gets home. But I would definitely recommend this place if you’re a BBQ fan like me.

Great local spot! Guy who owns it wins competitions with his sauce and the ribs fall off the bone. Inside is nice and clean but not pretentious. Couldn’t ask for more, no notes!

Got some ribs for takeout and tater salad, plus some chocolate cake that was out of this world… everything was amazing! We will definitely be back!
