Peaceful Palate is DANGEROUS.
I came for lunch today and got the oxtail empanadas (2 for $15) with a side of red beans and rice ($7) and listen… straight crack. One bite of the empanadas, one scoop of that rice, and I was DONE. Fully in love.
It was so good I literally had to go back inside and tell the chef her food was amazing. You can taste that she cooks with love — not just seasoning, but intention. On top of that, she was incredibly sweet and genuinely kind, not forced or performative.
I left and immediately called my mom to tell her about the food. And if you know, you know — I don’t do that unless it’s serious.
Peaceful Palate is a must. If you haven’t been, fix that immediately.

Everything about this place about this place was a 10/10 the food was amazing The customer service was great and the whole establishment was really neat and clean. I had the viral TikTok oxtail plate that came with beans and rice and included two additional sides I had yams and collard greens for my sides And they were both delicious. My friend had the fish and shrimp plate with macaroni and cheese and collard greens for his side and he said the same as I did everything was a 10/10 we also ordered some of the hot honey wings and oxtail empanadas and again 10/10 In for our drinks we had the uptown which was the lemonade and sweet tea mixed together and I had regular sweet tea for my first go-around and mango lemonade my second go around everything was great and flavorful. I definitely recommend anyone to try this place if you’re in the Rock Hill area I definitely will be back to try the glaze Salmon

Finally was able to find this hidden gem in Rock Hill SC. Ordered the oxtails with rice and beans Mac and cheese, and collard greens. The chicken tenders and fries for my grand daughter. Tasting my food and reading previous reviews I knew Chef Grey was special. The food is just what you want the flavors the presentation is everything. Reminds me of being back home in Brooklyn or nyc with the decor of downtown dumbo or soho vibes. You will definitely not be disappointed with your time spent here. The chef was very sweet to my grand daughter as well. It was definitely a pleasure to meet you.

Peaceful Palace has a relaxed, college-friendly atmosphere with plenty of seating, pleasant music, and lots of TVs, making it a comfortable place to hang out and watch something while you dine. The space was clean in appearance and felt more geared toward college students and young adults. Not a kid friendly menu.
The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful while we placed our order, and the food came out quickly, which was appreciated.
We ordered the fried whiting combo with yams and collards, a side of red beans and rice, and honey BBQ wings. The fish had a nice crispy outside and good seasoning, though the inside texture was mushier than expected. The yams were very sweet and syrup-heavy, the collards were decent, the wings had good sauce flavor but were extremely tough, and the red beans and rice were dry with rice that seemed slightly undercooked.
Overall, while the atmosphere, cleanliness, and service were positives, the quality of the food for the cost felt like a slight miss since we didn’t enjoy over half of our meal. Because of that, we’d likely pass on a future visit.

Peaceful Palate nestled in the Technology Center area of Rock Hill delivers soulful AND Jamaican cuisine that lingers long after the meal is over. Our meal was flavorful, well seasoned, cooked with care, and plated like someone knew you were coming hungry. The mango tea is a standout: refreshing, naturally sweet, and the perfect sip between bites.
Customer service was warm, attentive, and unrushed, creating the kind of atmosphere where good food feels even better. Prices reflect the quality; market-based but fair for the portions and flavor you’re getting.
If you’re searching for a spot that serves real flavor, real hospitality, and a truly memorable dining experience, Peaceful Palate is absolutely worth the stop!

I rated them on DoorDash but I had to come here on the site and give them more praise because it’s well deserved. The food is amazing y’all and that’s an understatement because I don’t think the words I’m actually looking exist yet. We got the large oxtails deluxe with collard greens, Mac n cheese, red beans and rice, and yams. Also rice and beans come with it so you don’t have to order it as a side unless you want to. This was my first time ever having oxtails and I definitely see why everyone rave about this dish, I been missing out all these years . We will be back when we are in the area again. Also the photos were taken after we already started digging in so that’s why it looks like a dent was put in it lol we did it, it didn’t come like this the portions are a lot the plates were heavy.

Love the atmosphere and the customer service. We came here at October 4th, and I’m just now catching up on my Google reviews. I wasn’t a big fan of the mac and cheese, which is usually my favorite side dish, but it wasn’t bad. The food overall was very fresh. My boyfriend ordered fries and they weren’t fully done, so we took them home and finished them in the air fryer. Other than that, I still wanted to give 5 stars. We were even offered free drinks by the lady working in the kitchen while we waited. Which we got lemonade and it was tasty! I’m not sure if she was the owner or manager, but she was very friendly!

Peaceful Palate was nothing short of amazing. We ordered our food online for pick up, and were delighted to find out the location is directly across from our apartment. The ambiance in the building is very modern and casual perfect for a relaxed evening. The owner of Peaceful Palate was so sweet and working so diligently by herself on New Year’s Eve. We will definitely be back to try more of her delicious food.

If you are ever in the Rock Hill, SC area, you must visit and order from this place. The location of the restaurant is elusive at first because of the layout of the building. But once you go down the stairs by the smokestack and enter the space, it is fantastic.
The shared space is set up like a big family room with comfy benches, and couches with tables. Then there is a high top island available for you and plenty others to gather around and feel comfortable even if you don’t know one another because it is set with plenty of space across and around it.
Then you are greeted by the nicest people; a family, who is friendly and attentive. They take your order, and while you wait there is a nice soundtrack playing in the background, along with televisions up on the wall playing various nostalgia inducing game shows and sitcoms.
Then comes the food. Piping hot and smelling delicious. Oxtail empenadas, crispy wings with a choice of sauce, Fish (Tilapia or Flounder) friend to perfection, alone or with a shrimp combo, Honey glaze Salmon with, fries, with available sides of red beans and rice, collards, yams, and
mac n cheese, and everything was really fantastic! My wings with Asian glaze we amazing, and went very well with the red beans and rice. My friend ordered the fish and shrimp and declared satisfaction on the first bite. The meal was topped off with flavored lemonade. We want to come back. Please support this business so the next time we visit, it is still there. Located next to the Sports Center, which is great for all of the visitors who will be there for various sports tournaments throughout the year! Seating for a team, a large group, and even for an intimate date. Great eats! Great ambiance. Great Chef and crew. Check them out!

When I walked in, it reminded me of a food court. It is in a building (not sure what the building is) and go to the counter, order, then sit down at one of the indoor or outdoor tables. They will bring the order to the table when it is ready. Very casual place to eat.
The menu is somewhat limited but has nice choices. I ordered the ox tail with rice and beans and my husband ordered the salmon with two sides. Prices were a bit high (still reasonable, but on the high end). These aren’t exactly cheap dishes (even buying them at the store and cooking at home) which I’m sure is the reason for the price. Just one taste and I knew it was worth every cent (same with my husband’s salmon). This place is no food court food. It should be one of those fancy restaurants. The food is outstanding!!! Same with the staff. We will definitely be going back.
