Review of Peace River Beer Company in Punta Gorda, FL – Facebook

Michael Panzegraf and I went to Peace River Seafood in Punta Gorda for supper tonight. I got a dozen medium blue crabs and conch chowder.

Fun spot to enjoy some local craft beers. They also have wine and some other options. Beers are about $8.50 each. They also serve Thai food. The fried rice is good and so are their potstickers. My husband had some tuna sushi and said it was average. They have darts, a pool table and shuffle board. The bar top is done with sand, shells and other items typically found when you go to the peace river. The bartender is also pretty funny. We have a good time when we come.

I was very surprised with the variety of food here! There’s sushi, thai, a chinese dish or two, and of course some bar/brewery classics. My favorite was definitely the River Monster roll! It’s unique to this location and offers a flavorful blend of fried crab, shrimp, avocado, and more. Definitely give it a try!

Needed to kill time between car service and something else in time. There were no other customers at 3pm, but there was a big sign and a friendly employee to greet me and make me feel at home. The Pad Thai with (4 large) shrimp was absolutely delicious. It came out fast. There were so many options and I didn’t feel rushed at all to make my decisions. As I enjoyed the music, atmosphere, food and drink people slowly came in and sat at the bar.

Very pleasant atmosphere and would highly recommend! I’m already looking forward to visiting the next time I need my car serviced.

Our friends just introduced us to this gem, Peace River Beer Company, in Punta Gorda. One of the BEST, authentic Thai restaurants we’ve found. The food was amazing! We started with edamame and crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was incredible! I think the best I’ve ever had. It has a touch of their homemade panang curry in it. Jess had the panang curry, and I had the chicken basil. The panang curry was amazing and the chicken basil was very tasty. We had a taste of the chicken pad Thai and the crunchy tuna roll, both were great. Our friend swears by the fried rice, but she wouldn’t share (I guess it’s THAT good!). They have 20 craft beers on tap and they have wine, no hard liquor. I highly suggest giving this place a try!

5 STARS – Unexpected & Unforgettable!

What a surprise! Who would’ve thought you’d find some of the best Thai food and sushi I’ve ever had in the heart of a craft beer bar? Peace River Beer Company totally wowed us. From the open kitchen (you can watch them work!) to the incredibly fresh flavors—this place nails it.

I’ve had a lot of Thai food, and this is hands-down some of the best I’ve tasted in Florida. The curry, sushi, small plates—everything was delicious and packed with flavor. Highly recommend the Laab Gai Todd

The atmosphere is awesome—20+ rotating craft beers, dartboards, sports on TV, and just a cool local vibe that makes you want to hang out for hours.

One little tip: I’d love to see upgraded napkins that stay put. Eating curry in a white tennis dress while fighting off flyaway napkins wasn’t ideal Still 100% worth it, just something to consider!

Bottom line: Unexpected. Delicious. Unforgettable. Trust me—you’ll want to come back.

Great stop for local brews and surprisingly awesome Thai food and sushi! Didn’t expect the combo, but it totally worked. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and oddly perfect together. Definitely worth checking out!

I was pleasantly surprised how good the Thai food was. I was expecting brewery food. The owner/cook is legit cooking Mom’s recipe. According to the bartender they grow their own herbs and spices. The panang curry was amazing. The pork pot stickers were really good as well.

Large selection of beers as well.

1st time here. I have lived in the area for 2 years and did not know about this place. Even driven past – thought it was a kayak rental place. I did not realize what I was missing ! Food was great- and nice selection of beers . And best of all they have sushi/ pad Thai- amazing!

Second time here and will be our last. Bartender needs to learn how to be a bartender. She was extremely hyper, would listen into your conversation then interrupt it and take it over. Did it to me 3 times while I was trying to get to know someone sitting at the bar that I had just met. I left the bar and sat at a table. Something is emotionally not right.
Food was mediocre, did not eat all of it. Place was not busy on a nice Saturday. Not hard to know why. Beer was ok, could have been colder and not as flat.

A reasonable selections of craft beers. Kind of expensive beer pricing. We had 3 different sushi’s and all were good. A different sping on a beer place. It is walk up service inside, order at the bar and pickup food when buzzed,
