Waiter was very inexperienced, food was cold and not to discription, steaks were over and under cooked, dessert, well they took one piece and destroyed it and tried to pass it off as two pieces, another piece was large and one was a sliver, really? Somewhat disappointing. 18 years ago we were married at this facility, so obviously I want to continue loving all aspects of it. The food is still great, the service is lacking. A server glued to her phone, another asked if we needed anything, we replied that we were ready for the check and still waited over 15 minutes for yet a third waiter to ask as we were putting on our coats, if we were ready for the check. I truly thought our request of to go boxes, and subsequent packing of our food signaled that we were done. I definitely thought that the initial request for our check would be honored. I would sadly choose elsewhere for a service oriented experience.

Bar and sushi staff were fantastic. My Old Fashioned and wife’s Martini were great, definitely worth the reasonable price. The Red White and Blue sushi roll and miso soup were top notch. First night staying at the Bertram and absolutely thrilled to go back again.

Ordered the ribs. We are from Chicago originally and know good ribs. Paws ribs are the best ribs we’ve had since we left Chicago 25 years ago. Meat was cooked perfectly, sauce was excellent, they were not dry, and portion was generous. We shared a full rack and had leftovers. (Should offer 1/2 rack option). We called the Chef out and thanked him personally…they were so amazing! Thanks for a great dinner!

Paws it’s just one of those great little restaurants in Aurora that really has excellent food, excellent service, and excellent sushi.
Recently we went in there around 7:30. And even though the restaurant closes at eight, The server waited on us and took very good care of us. I think by the time we left it was around 10 o’clock because we just had a great meal and we ran into some very special people who took time out to talk to us and is a known local celebrity who frequent the place but I won’t say who he was to preserve his ability to dine at this restaurant and avoid the paparazzi‘s.
You never know who you’ll see at the restaurant but enjoy the camaraderie of the servers and sushi chef!
If you haven’t been to paws in Aurora you really need to get there soon the food and service is absolutely outstanding all the time.
