This ain’t no diner, so nvm the Atmosphere rating. This is 5 star BBQ, and that’s all. The service just fine, too.
What I like about this barbecue is that the pork is not finely shredded but it’s big chunky tender cuts , and the sauce is not just that sweet stuff that everybody’s putting on their barbecue- it’s got some flavor.

Really delicious BBQ and down home cooking at a great price. The portion sizes are huge! My husband and I really enjoyed the pork sandwiches and the 1/2 chicken plate. They were both nicely charred and caramelized! We’d also recommend the french fries, potato salad, and baked beans. We hope to try their fried okra next time!

I called in an order for a wholle Boston butt at 2:30pm and they lady told me I would have to wait until 5pm to pick it up. No problem I’ll wait, they actually have really good BBQ! I get it back home cut into it and it’s cold as ice in the middle. This is not the first time this has happened. I called to find out why I just waited 2 and a half hours and spent $50 only to have to put it in the over for 30 minutes to bring it to temp!! They guy had no answer for me just stood there holding the phone saying they had put it in the WARMER, and didn’t know why it was cold?? Why was my food not temp before being handed to me and why was this guy so dumbfounded he just stood in silence!!

Best anywhere around. You know it’s the real deal taste and they give you enough. It’s my 4th time and I’ll be back many more times. Why go anywhere else for BBQ? They close at 6 so make sure you get there in time. I love it. I go out of my way and pass up several others to come to Paw paws.

Warning**** this place is an entrapment!!! I went down south 11st to get to the tire place. And they forcefully opened their smokers to get the smell to me. I went all the way home, across town, thinking about that smell. My stomach wouldn’t let me forget it. We went all the way back because only that smell would satisfy my hunger. That was the best bbq in all of gadsden, and I thank them so much. The portion was so huge im still eating it for dinner. I got the bbq baked potato and it was the best ive had in many years. But in all seriousness, don’t sleep on pawpaw bbq, or you’ll be missing out!!!!

I NEVER DO REVIEWS. So I’m doing this one to tell don’t eat there. You an taste the lighter fluid in the meat. Got 1/2 chicken I’m taking home to my dog. They gave me 1 napkin to eat 1/2 a chicken with. And the lighter fluid taste was so strong impossible to eat. Don’t waste your time or money
