Great food, great atmosphere, and an amazing tap selection.
The barbecue was excellent, pit style, and huge portions.
The location has a combination of indoor and outdoor seating. They literally converted an old gas station into a restaurant.
Dog friendly, they even have individual doggy bowls for water table side, and a dog menu (pup cups and PB sand).
Outside tables are covered so don’t worry about a little rain.
We will definitely be back.

Visiting town for a few days and popped in for brews and good food, stumbled onto their very fun trivia night! Great beer selection and delicious food—the brisket and pork were amazing and we really appreciated the veg/vegan options, too! Since we actually took 3rd in trivia (gift card!!!) we came back for more snacks and drinks the next day. Great staff both times!

My friends had such a nice time here for their birthday lunch! What a lovely little spot with excellent bbq options and very affordable custom cocktails. It was a beautiful day out on the patio area with friendly staff and friendly patrons. Tori attended to us and was very patient and attentive! Birria tacos and burgers were amazing as well we the wine and side options. Very good time here and will be back!

I’ve been coming here since their opening. The beer selection is always good and the food is Way Beyond most other Taphouse food quality. The nice thing is that they seem to try to reinvent themselves on a periodic basis. For instance right now everything seems to be focused on smoked food from the smoker out front.
Update: Food is still consistently good as is the beer selection. I particularly like the vibe on the back patio while the weather is nice – jam band, good food, good beer, and good weather.

I’ve been meaning to visit this restaurant for some time now and now that I have, I’m mad at myself for not going earlier! The BBQ is spot on and perfectly smoked, packed full of flavor. Menu offers a good selection of sandwiches, platters, burgers, and apps. They also offer plenty of beer options (including from many local breweries) and liquor. I decided to try the caprese burger from the daily specials. I wasn’t completely sold on it but it more than exceeded my expectations. Great quality ground beef, perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. The tomatoes were fresh, the mozzarella plentiful, and the balsamic reduction gave it the right touch. The chopped brisket sandwich was next, and this is definitely one to try at least once! The brisket was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. Bloody Marys were only $5 on special and they were delicious! Gideon and the rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely return regularly, and highly recommend you try it if you haven’t yet!

This place is the best kept secret out here, although not anymore. It’s deliciousness goes beyond it’s border and now you either have to get here very early or come during the week so they don’t run out of faves like the pork belly!! Give yourself a treat and come on out and bring the fam too. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food is outstanding as are their beers and mixed drinks

Pavement Brewery, located just outside downtown Front Royal, offers a unique seating experience around the back with a pleasant breeze.
The food is a bit pricey, but I highly recommend the Mexican street corn, despite the small portions – it was delicious. The black cherry cider was outstanding. Interestingly, the tip is included in the total.

Great find. The food was fantastic! They had seasonal asparagus, which I had to try,good choice. Ice tea was good,not too sweet,bitter or watered down as I’m finding at a lot of placed. I ordered Birria Tacos,3 braised brisket tacos, cheese and corn tortillas, consomme, salsas. Very tasty. Also tried Pork Belly for my first time as well,good stuff.

I had a great time at PaveMint Smokin’ Taphouse. The food was delicious and creative, using local and fresh ingredients. I loved the variety of street foods from around the world, such as tacos, burgers, wings, and nachos. The smoked meats were tender and flavorful, and the sauces were amazing. The beer selection was impressive, featuring many craft brews from different regions. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed.
