I wanted to like this place but just couldn’t! The front host had a very dry personality and wasn’t welcoming at all. There’s basically instructions listed on the wall for you to seat yourself, etc, which in my opinion takes away the opportunity for customer interaction. Anyways, we heard that the pizza was good at this place, but it was average at the least. The cheese on the pizza is so thick you can literally choke on it and the dough wasn’t cooked thoroughly. We would’ve probably been more happy ordering a pan pizza from Pizza Hut. The music selections played in the lobby wasn’t bad however, the volume was way too loud. Overall, LTS doesn’t recommend Paul’s Deli for pizza or dinning-in experience

My boyfriend and I ate here when we stayed at a Bed and Breakfast just a block away. The vibe was great, and the food and service were even better. I highly recommend the gyros and Greek fries, because they were just amazing! Would definitely go back!

We happened to be in town for vacation over the holidays and long story short, we decided to place an order with Paul’s Deli. I ordered an Italian sub which tends to be my go to test for anyplace that specializes in subs and/or has the word “Deli” in its name. My wife had the Florida sub. My Italian wasn’t a bad sandwich but it definitely wasn’t a traditional Italian sub. My wife didn’t find anything special of note about her Florida sub except the absolutely ridiculous amount of mayo that was on it and squished all over the place while she ate it. Overall our experience with Paul’s Deli wasn’t horrendous but it wouldn’t warrant a return visit and I wouldn’t recommend you try it.

Coming back from Va beach to Richmond, my kids and I were looking for good quality food to enjoy and not just take up space in our stomachs. Forgive me if I can’t remember exactly the names of things we ordered, we ordered a lot and I’m so glad we did! The veggies and salads were fresher than I can get at my local grocery store. The French dip- amazing! I forget what they’re called but the grape leaves wrapping something were divine! The gyro or Greek platter was scrumptious! The chicken sandwich had THE best flavor and good quality. No gristly low quality crud here! It was ALL good! I was super impressed by the delicious flavors, the generous portions, and the positive attitudes of the employees! I wish this place was closer. Truly a gem of a place hidden in plain sight!

I really wish we had gotten better service because I think my review would have been better for this place .

Just got to town and I was looking for a bite to eat. My usual first stop Rick’s was closed, so I rode up the street to Paul’s Deli and I’m glad I did. Live music playing, good scenery, service, & food. Definitely coming back!

First visit. Went at lunchtime on a Sunday. Quiet at that time, but I am sure it stays busy during evening hours.

HUGE portions! My friend and I were attempting to eat @ the Green leaf restaurant next door, however, they were closed. Therefore we ate here instead.

We got there and it was pretty quiet. The guy at the register started to take our to go order and then turned away mid order to talk to a coworker, which made him get my order wrong so I had to repeat myself. We waited longer than 20 minutes for 2 subs that weren’t worth the wait. The inside of the restaurant is interesting but beyond that, there’s not much happening service and food wise here.

First thing I noticed about this place is that it is not very clean. The table still had some residue from the previous customer. Some of the menus were slightly oily. The seat I was at had some sticky substance that I was unfortunate enough to put my hands on. Furthermore, the bathrooms were dirty, one of the men’s toilets were out of order, and it didn’t have a stall door.
