I review a lot of Tampa Bay area pizza. I take ratings with a grain of salt. Some spots may not get a great reading and be really good and some spots get a high rating because people might not know what good pizza is.
The staff is definitely friendly and I like the vibe of the shop. But when it came down to the food well that gets a little rough. They don’t have garlic knots surprisingly. Didn’t really want to get breadsticks. So I ordered the side of meatballs. They were not homemade but they tasted pretty good but they are small meatballs.
Order an extra large pizza and well I was disappointed. The quality of the cheese and the distribution wasn’t very good. 15.00 for an extra large pie seem like a deal but you do get what you pay for. The sauce was okay…eh… but the lack of cheese and low quality of the cheese is what really did it for me. Honestly there are very few times I didn’t bring home leftovers but this was one of. Who I’m assuming is the owner is a really nice guy and I felt bad for not taking home leftovers but it just wasn’t good pizza. Definitely overrated thru the reviews.

Momma is outta town on a sister trip. Perfect time to order pizza for the boy who thinks he is a trex eating pizza monster. Ordered a meat lovers pie and a their popular cheese steak. Got the meat lovers pie and a cheese cake. Guess I didn’t need the extra carbs and my roblox playing monster was soooo happy I got desert. So it turned out perfectly I suppose coz he is happy even tho my desires waned their yummy cheese steak not the cheese cake. Lol. Cheese steak … cheese cake… I am sure all sounds the same over the phone. No complaints here when I could of checked at the counter but I didn’t. But the best part is…. the kid was super happy we got desert. Therefore, it was meant to be. On the food side…. been here a minimum of 4xs. Sometimes it is out right delicious, some time it is just OK good. Maybe it is the cooks or maybe how hungry and what my body is going through. I will say this…. I really like this place and will return with a smile. My story rant is NOT a complaint but an adventure which life is. By pizza here. And if you are wanting their yummy cheese steak and not the cake… make sure you make it clear. 🙂

Between myself and my husband we’ve been eating at Paulo’s for 30+ years and it’s always great. After all this time I finally decided to get a calzone instead of my regular steak and cheese and… it’s… WOW. SO GOOD. We got a sausage and mushroom calzone and also got a steak and cheese and fries, everything was wonderful as per usual.

I’ve been all over the US for pizza and Paulo’s hits all the marks of a good pizza. Ordered delivery, pizza came nice and warm and ordering online is straight forward and easy, you have multiple options of cust and sauces if you build your own. Highly recommend giving them a try.

How did we not know about this place!? What a wonderful choice for pizza dinner. The atmosphere was authentic and chill. The pizza was our new favorite! The dough was perfect and the cheese amazing. I want extra cheese! And extra sauce! The pizza maker guys were very friendly and ready to please. Love the freshness of all the ingredients. Definitely will be coming back for our weekly pizza nights. Even better idea let’s grab a sub and head to the beach !

Daughter had a medium cheese pizza (not much I can say about that, although she gave the pizza a 4 out of 5 star rating).
I, on the other hand, ordered a meatball sub & Antipasto Salad.
I could not finish either…. Meaning the quantity is more than impressive.
I enjoyed the meatball sandwich very much, the meatballs are tender and the sauce is just as I like… Not acidic, not sweet… Just right!
The Antipasto Salad includes all the likely Italian characters… Black Olives, ham, salami, cheese etc… Both the meats & cheeses and the the greens were very fresh & tender.
I normally am a Toby’s Little Italy fan, but I will have to seriously consider changing my go to Italian take out joint.
