First time trying and I’m a bit conflicted on this review. 2pc white with fries, although I asked for okra and Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese portion was very small but it was good. The chicken was too crunchy and the wing was HUGE. I hate big chicken but it tasted good and after I left the plate closed for sometime some of the crunchieness went away and I actually enjoyed the breast. Been attempting to try something else but the phone has been giving a busy signal everytime I call.

First time experience wasn’t all that great. I ordered a large oyster plate and wanted to get hotdogs for mom but they no longer have them. So I asked for a chicken sandwich but she wouldn’t take my order until she helped the other people behind me. “she said she would get it when the other order was ready but never mentioned it again so I didn’t bother to ask anymore. Oysters were good but not all that, baked beans were just plain out of a can and the fries were okay. Sweet tea was good. Service was bad. I stood in line 20 minutes, patiently.

I am a Florida girl and love seafood. This is the best fried fish in NC. The fried chicken is amazing too. It is fried in a liquid batter and has a great flavor. The pieces are huge and the wings are the biggest I’ve ever seen. It’s a must eat place!

Just got 3 plates. Food was good BUT at the bottom of the Mac and cheese there was a black hair. And the bake beans is a NOOOOO go. They still hard and way to sweet.

We stopped at Pauline‘s Place on our way from Virginia to Florida. We wanted authentic, North Carolina, barbecue and Pauline‘s Place showed up on Google maps. Saint Paul, North Carolina. If you are traveling south, and looking for a great barbecue, this is it! Five minutes off is 95.

Pauline’s place was an interesting experience. I was expecting a restaurant, but it is a drive up or drive through. They do have outdoor seating, as well as a clean public bathroom. The food was good and hot, and the staff was friendly.

Best fried catfish I’ve ever had!! Omgosh, we stopped on our way South, wanted something other than a fast food burger. We walked up with the kids and dog and ordered, 2 small catfish plates, 1 large chicken plate and three drinks for $30 (they do take credit cards). The small catfish is what’s pictured, it’s a ton of food!! There’s little picnic tables under the eaves if you want to eat there. The kids love their fried chicken, 2 12 year olds couldn’t eat all the food. Definitely worth the extra minute to drive over from 95.
