Very friendly staff and good service, the flammkuchen was really good, even though a little pricy. We were able to find a place for lunch without reservation, there weren’t many guests on Sunday at lunchtime. The restaurant is really cute but a big negative side is that you get smoked and you smell pretty bad afterwards. I am not sure whether the ventilation wasn’t working or what is the reason.

Pauline’s is hands down the best restaurant in Potsdam, Germany. I had the steak with foix gras, shaved truffle and Pauline’s sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked as well as the foix gras. The salad was fresh crisp and perfectly dressed and the crisps came perfectly cooked. I think this was the best French meal I’ve ever had. Thank you. Chef

The food was ok, if you consider the price it’s a good cost benefit. However, the steak isn’t really a steak but more like a big Hamburger. And the Avocado Suppe is a cold soup which we didn’t know and was not very tasty. All and all I believe the Shrimp Pasta is the best option for lunch.
Service was very good, the waiter was attentive, helpful and friendly. And the food was served quite quickly.

The food was overall fairly good, can’t say too much to fault it, but the service was definitely below what you’d expect for this price range. Half of our orders were delayed because of an accident in the kitchen, which can happen, fair enough. When the orders came, one was wrong, which again can happen. I was offered the dish for free, which seemed appropriate and I kindly accepted. When it was time for the bill though it got strange. A waiter who was too busy sending messages on his phone to notice us for a while came over and introduced himself as the interim boss whilst the owner was out of town. He said the other waiter was unprofessional and should not have offered the meal for free. Furthermore, he started insinuating we were doing something wrong: „are you really refusing to pay this meal that you eat up?“
In the end we reluctantly paid for the meal and got two glasses of wine for free. We‘d never have minded to just pay for the meal in the first place, but this whole encounter was uncomfortable and very far away from the level of service you’d expect from the price tag. We won’t be coming back.

I had dreamed about eating pork knuckle on my first trip to Berlin as I had never had it before and oh my at this restaurant it was incredible so delicious and tasty. Plus an enormous portion. I would definitely recommend eating here, the atmosphere was buzzing and the food and service were fantastic, everything we ordered was delicious and the team member who looked after us was amazing especially as we were a demanding and noisy group of 11. The best example of high quality cuisine at a reasonable price. The spaghetti with butter and truffle is the best I have tasted this year. I can also recommend the mussels. We visited this restaurant twice and once the waiter was in a bad mood and his service was not as great as the food. So the next day another waiter came and our experience during the visit was much better. Thank you to the chef and the all service and kitchen staff. See you next time.

I had the pleasure of dining at Pauline on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we sat down, the service was top-notch. The waitress was incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel welcomed right away. We decided to sit outside, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxed lunch in the sun.
We didn’t have high expectations, but Pauline exceeded them in every way. We started with oysters, and they were absolutely delicious – fresh, briny, and perfectly prepared. Following that, we tried the onion soup, which was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted – rich, flavorful, and comforting. The Flammkuchen was equally impressive, with a wonderful balance of flavors.
To complement the meal, we enjoyed both a delightful Cremant and wine, which were great choices. The highlight of the experience was when the chef came out to check on his customers – a personal touch that added to the warm, inviting atmosphere.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Pauline to anyone visiting Potsdam, and I’ll definitely be back on my next visit. A wonderful dining experience all around!
