If this Paula’s just had flour tortillas and butter on their menu I’d still go. I could rave for days about their tortillas. The carne guisada was great and is my go-to here. The restaurant itself could use some updating, the furniture has seen better days but it almost adds to the experience and epitomizes the “hole in the wall” spot.

I’m not sure how you mess up eggs, bacon and pancakes. The eggs were flat and tasteless. Bacon was so hard. I might of chipped a tooth. Pancakes were dense and far from fluffy. I’m sure maybe their Mexican food is better. But, won’t be returning to find out.

This was my first time at Paula’s, on a friend’s recommendation. I was disappointed with the food. I ordered chicken fajitas. The chicken was not seasoned at all and the texture made it seem as if it had been frozen too long. Nothing special about the rice and beans. Perhaps it was an off day but I won’t be going back.

Being a Mexicano, I appreciate the love they put into the food. The flavors are exceptional and they don’t skimp on portions either.
The tortillas are hand made right there! Such a blessing!

Service is poor and has been since before covid. Some of the food is good, but price and quality do NOT meet here. Last time I went, I ordered a breakfast taco. Tough pork cubes and absolutely NOTHING on the taco. Over half of what they put in the taco was fat – the stuff on the left is solid fat! They don’t refill drinks, chips or salsa. Once you get your food, they disappear. Sorry the photo posted twice! !

Seams nice place, little pricey for the quality. They have Fresh corn and fresh flour tortillas…. The menudo is ok…it’s not RED like I’m used to….however I still enjoyed it. Flour Tortillas were a bit hard however the eggs con chorizo were delicious…. Also tried the huevos rancheros they were also tasty.
Coffee is 2.95 per cup….
They has a pretty nice musician…he played oldies but goodies I really enjoyed his music!
