2023 Update just as good as ever. 2020 Had to be in Carson. Asked the girls at the Secretary of state where the best place in town to eat for lunch was. They weren’t kidding it was delicious. And the prices were right. They also had coffee cakes that were huge and cheap so I bought three of them and they were all delicious.

Excellent bakery with a wonderful selection of breads and pastries. The bread isn’t cheap – walnut raisin at $7.75 a loaf, but the loaves are a very nice size and super fresh.

Grabbed a few pies for Thanksgiving and hands down was the best pumpkin pie we have had. It was s creamy texture with the perfect crust. No need for cool whip. The fruit tart is a work of art, so pretty. I actually prefer the small tart over the large one, but still amazing!! We grabbed some bread to give as a gift. The place smells AMAZING !!!

Decided to stop by the schats bakery and check out the bagels and pastries. The love and work of art they put in their cakes, cookies, and pastries are gorgeous! Not only did I purchase many bagels of all different flavors, I decided to sit down and eat an apple walnut salad. It was so good it was my first time ever eating a salad with fruit on it. Because of this salad, I am now obsessed! This place is awesome!

Bagels were delicious and so were the bakery goods. The coffee drinks weren’t good and were too sweet. The customer service needs to improve. I went to the Miden location instead. To my surprise…the ~$3 bagel is suppose to come with the option of cut, toasted, and cream cheese. I wasn’t offered that at all at this location. I went to the Minden location 4x and ordered 3 dozen bagels to take back home.

If you love pastries, you may be in trouble coming here. As soon as I walked in, my stomach was ambushed by coffee cakes and artisan breads. I hadn’t even reached the counter and my eyes were drooling for every little thing they had on display. Fortunately I was able to control myself until I noticed they had a deli towards the back of the bakery. What a deceptive little shop. I will return soon after I devour this blueberry coffee cake. Highly recommend
