Food menu offers a vast array of delicious dishes, including French classics like onion soup served in a cut-out brown loaf, roasted almond chicken breast filled with camembert cheese, and a cheesy curried pasta dish. While prices may be slightly high, the portions are generous, and the food is expertly prepared.
The waiting staff are pleasant, polite, courteous and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
With its upscale ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service, Paul Downtown Egypt is a great choice for a night out or morning breakfast. While some reviews have been mixed, the consensus is that Paul is a reliable option for French-inspired cuisine in Cairo.
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my visit today to your Downtown Katameya branch for breakfast.
From the beginning, the experience was below expectations. The waiters took a long time to come and take our order. When my cheese croissant arrived, it was very cold. I had to ask more than three times just to get water, and even then, only one glass was served although we were two people. We waited an unreasonably long time for the second glass.
Additionally, when the tea was served, the waiter placed it almost on top of my plate despite there being enough space on the table. Throughout the visit, three different waiters came and went, and the overall service was extremely slow and unorganized.
This was very disappointing, especially from a restaurant known for quality and hospitality. I hope you will look into this matter and ensure better service moving forward.
Thank you for your attention.
Outdoor area not as you’d expect from a chain like Paul, dusty, too much wear and tear.
We ended up ordering the steak breakfast, which was rich and deeply flavorful, the omelette was so delicate and fluffy.
Some dishes did feel a bit on the pricey side for the portion size, but the quality and taste made up for it. The ingredients felt fresh, and everything was well-prepared with attention to detail. The service was also warm and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for an authentic French café-style meal with fresh pastries and a lovely atmosphere, Paul is definitely worth a visit!
