Best restaurant ever! Came back for a second night in a row. Paul is an absolute star and a master of his craft. We loved our dinner & it is just such a special night to dine here. We loved Patrick and all of our delicious cocktails and food, and excellent service. He is the best! Please do not miss this place. 10/10.

Unassuming from outside but wait until you look behind the curtain. No reservations – you need to que up for this event. Missed the first seating, but well worth coming back (after a drink) for the second seating. Paul was directing the seating and got you inside and on deck for a drink while waiting the last few minutes for your table. I had the lamb off the specials menu – perfectly medium rare with a savory crust. My wife had the pork chop from the regular menu – bone in, tender, and flavorful. A remarkable experience.

I first heard about Paul Bar/Food from a Reddit post about the best food in Palm Springs. Most of the commenters seemed determined to keep this gem under wraps and gatekeep it from the public. So naturally, I had to check it out. When we arrived, there was a huge line, but it moved quickly, and seeing Paul (the man, the myth, the legend) himself outside telling stories and jokes made everyone feel welcome and excited.

Guided by our super attentive bartender, who gave great insights into the menu, we started with cocktails and the meatball, both absolutely fantastic. For the mains, we had the rack of lamb and pork schnitzel. Every bite was perfectly executed, flavorful, and satisfying.

Overall, it was an incredible meal. I wish Paul all the success he deserves, this spot is awesome. Reddit, sorry for spilling the secret, but next time I stop by I hope the line extends all the way to the top of Mt. San Jacinto.

Paul Food / Bar was amazing. We just bought a place instead of Desert princess and a bunch of neighbors recommended it, super deceiving on the outside but inside I don’t know if there’s a better place in Palm Springs that has professional welding staff…. The food? Super amazing and half the price of a similar dishes downtown Palm Springs

You have to go here and have dinner! It is wonderful! 49 people seating, that’s it. The best service and food! It reminds me of the old Sam’s Seafood in San Francisco. It has that flavor. You will not be disappointed.

Arrived on a Friday at about 5pm line out the door but not bad, 1.5 hr limit on dining which helps move people along about 5 tables that could seat 4 then the bar top which may have been about 12-15 people. Paul himself is very active in the rotation of people and seating, bar tenders and servers are quick zero complaints there. Vibe inside reminded me of an Irish bar, dark inside and heavy wood bar style. Food overall was good appetizers recommended to us by a regular couple was the meat ball which was definitely good and the calamari which was a bit rubbery I would not recommend that choice. For mains we got the special rack of lamb,it was delicious and the pork chop which was just ok a little bland on flavor and slightly overcooked, both came with a side of cooked spinach and little potatoes I felt the sides could have had a little more pizzazz.

We adored Paul Bar! Yes, there’s a lineup outside but with very good reason. Amazing service, food & drinks. Loved Paul’s humor and the old school atmosphere. Can’t recommend the frozen Sidecar enough.

My wife absolutely loved the Amaretto Sours from here. Truly a hidden gem in Palm Springs. The pork chop dinner is perfection.

This is the best place to catch an impromptu standup comedy set—Paul has his Tight Five dialed in and who doesn’t love dinner and a show? I’ve had the short rib dip a dozen times but everything else is amazing.
