Just absolutely great food and drinks. The outdoor seating is beautifully decorated and relaxing when the weather is nice. The alcoholic drinks are fun but Don’t pass up the horchata.

But…. as the sign here says, good food takes time. You could be waiting for an hour or more on busy nights.

Live music and drinks can keep you entertained, though.

I’ve been to Patti’s many times over a number of years (undergrad now graduate). The beer deals have changed, but are a deal; just for different beers. Food has always been very solid, no matter what I’ve purchased. This last time was the first time they messed up my order (I got 6 burritos for my friends and I, 2 of each type on Tuesday and ended up with 4 and 2.) (Btw awesome deal 2-1 burritos on Tuesdays) Didn’t hurt in the end as it was all good food.

The best part of Patti’s is the venue. Amazing for hanging out on sunny days. Lattice structures and lots of plants creates a unique and surprisingly private ambience. Always worth a visit on a nice day.

The food wasn’t bad, but honestly, it was the only place open on a Sunday in downtown Moscow, so we didn’t have many options—and we were hungry. With that in mind, it really wasn’t too bad for what it was. The flavors were decent, and it hit the spot in the moment.

The whole tipping situation. You place your order at the counter, some guy cooks it, and from there, you’re on your own. You seat yourself, grab your own utensils, pick up your food, refill your own water—basically everything short of doing the dishes. Suggesting tip like it’s some full-service experience. However that is trending everywhere.

Yeah, the patio’s nice. Real pretty. Sit out there, soak up the vibes, maybe trick yourself into thinking you’re about to have a great meal. Then the food shows up, and bam — reality check. Tiny portions, like snack-sized, but with big-boy prices. You’re paying steakhouse money for taco-truck scraps.

And let’s talk about the “presentation.” They don’t even bother with plates. Nope. They just dump your food onto a metal tray with some cheap paper liner, like you’re at a middle school cafeteria. Only problem is, that paper disintegrates the second your beans touch it. Next thing you know you’re eating rice, beans, and shredded paper like some broke college kid.

It’s sloppy, it’s lazy, and for what they’re charging, it’s straight-up insulting. You want a nice patio? Cool, stop by. You want an actual meal that feels worth the money? Look somewhere else, because this ain’t it.

I got the Chicken Fajita and it was great! The best I had had in a long while. The only downside was their mango juice. Tasted like it had some artificial mango flavour in it. Food yes! Drink not too sure

Overall the food was not good. Chimichanga was extremely soft (not crisp). Red sauce was bland. Fries were not seasoned well.

UPDATE: as of 5/4/24, Patty’s has changed their sign to say “Fish Taco.” I guess they “realized” they were falsely advertising before…either way, it felt dishonest then and feels dishonest now.

7/1/23: Save your money and go to food truck next to Silos & Social or La Casa Lopez on Main Street. We were really disappointed by our recent experience at Patty’s: they ripped us off. I’ve gone to their food truck at the Farmer’s Market for years and usually get the fish tacos: one order always included two (2) tacos for $5.50, a fair price. Their menu even says “Fish Tacos,” plural. But today, they only gave each of us one taco for two orders; I thought they had forgotten to include our second order, but they confirmed it’s one fish taco for $5.50. When I asked why they changed the amount, they just pointed to the sign and claimed it says one taco (it does not). So we paid about $12 for only two (2) OK, not great, street tacos. Yeah, we’re not going back.

I’ve eaten here a few times and have liked their food but today killed it for me. Whoever the big guy that takes your orders is was so unbelievably rude to my family today that we’ll never go back. We came in at 11:09 after seeing they opened at 11. He yelled at us “We’re closed” and my wife asked when they opened and he said “I don’t know…later. The ‘Open’ sign isn’t even on” although we were able to walk in the front door to the counter. When I said we’ll go somewhere else he replied “Good, go ahead”. He then walked away as my wife was trying to ask how much longer it’d be before they were actually open. Maybe do some soul searching and find a new career if you hate customers so bad.
