We had a wonderful dining experience at Hotel Hartness at the restaurant Patterson. The environment was inviting and well done, and the service was attentive and professional. We started with the pimento cheese with bacon jam and rye crackers, which was excellent. My wife ordered the salmon, and I had the pappardelle bolognese — both dishes were very well prepared and full of flavor. Overall, great atmosphere, good service, and quality food. We would definitely return.

My husband and I frequent Patterson as the staff feels like family to us. The atmosphere is top tier and the food is truly fantastic! They go above and beyond to make sure everything is up to your satisfaction. We celebrated my husband’s birthday in the wine room as we do every year just last night and it was wonderful as always! Genesis was our waitress and is always so helpful and attentive as well as kind. Johnny and his bar staff are NEXT LEVEL creative with drinks. The current bar menu is SO GOOD!!! His mocktails are so delicious as well!! This is such a hidden gem in Greenville!

This is one of the best high end restaurants I have been to. My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary this past weekend and we had a blast. Once we got to the restaurant, we were wished happy anniversary. As we sat down, they gave us champagne on the house for a toast. After we ordered our food, someone kept checking to make sure we were ok. After eating, the manager came to say hi to us and wished us a happy anniversary. Then they gave us a complimentary dessert to wish us a happy birthday. For the service, food and drinks we spent about $127 minus tips but we were very glad. We are thinking of making this spot our anniversary tradition.

My husband and I visited Patterson’s for the first time recently, drawn in by the promise of a nice atmosphere, and we were not disappointed. The lighting and low music create a truly excellent ambiance—perfect for a date night or a relaxed evening out.
We hadn’t made a reservation and planned to sit at the bar, which was very busy. We anticipated slower service because of the crowd, which was fine as we were in no rush. The bartender was personable, and our cocktails were absolutely delicious. We started with the pimento cheese appetizer, which was really good and a great start to the meal.
However, the main course was unfortunately a letdown. We ordered the Osso Buco, and while the meat itself was super tender, everything on the dish—the meat, vegetables, and sauce—was literally cold, as if it had been sitting on a counter for 30 minutes.
Overall, the atmosphere and bar experience were top-notch, but the cold main dish took away from the experience. We’ll likely return for drinks and appetizers, but might hold off on ordering an entrée next time.

My wife and I celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary at Patterson Kitchen. It was amazing. They welcomed us and immediately seated us while wishing us a Happy Anniversary and bringing complimentary champagne to our table. The service was 5-star and the food was exceptional. Pricing was very reasonable. This was our first experience at this restaurant but I think this may be our new favorite restaurant in the Greenville area. It was a perfect night. Thanks to the great staff.

Best seat in the house for me is at the chef’s counter! The brigade was amazing happy and interactive throughout the Spectacular meal!
My server was absolutely outstanding. As I am a solo traveler, she made me feel like I was part of the whole Christmas Eve experience.

I have to start with the service. Our waitress Britini was remarkable! The old-fashioned cocktail was perfect. I chose to have it smoked, and the presentation was worth it. The samosas were mouth-watering. The grouper was perfectly seared, moist, and delicious. Then came the desert that left me speechless. My only regret is that I can not give it more than 5 stars. I will definitely be back to try their new seasonal menu when it comes out!
