The Journeyman Restaurant is not just any local restaurant on the side of the road. There is a down at home atmosphere as you walk along the family photos and listen to the conversations of different people from all walks of life. The setting is inspired by cowboys and the American frontier. Which inspires the restaurant’s name, “Journeyman”.
The food that you eat will be also be as good as well since you can never go hungry without the diverse options you can choose from. On certain days, the salad bar/buffet is open where you can customize your plate to your liking.
While the restaurant is generally good, there will be a waiting period for your order. But is it worth the wait? Yes!
TLDR: The restaurant is a western inspired place with good food and atmosphere. You will have to wait but the food is worth it. I posted the most recent menu for reference.

It was just right. My husband was excited about the buffet and salad bar. The Fried chicken and best home made rolls were so good. Great Service and very good value. The waitress told be they have been open for 34 years and I can see why.

This place has a really nice atmosphere. I love the murals painted on all the walls. There are tons of neat knick knacks for sale all throughout the restaurant. We both ordered burgers and fries with sweet tea. The tea was very good and the food was good. Very friendly service and one of the only restaurants that still has a smoking section.

We stopped here after a weekend of camping with BIG appetites. My husband had the omelet with the works and I had the country fried steak breakfast. Food was good. Gravy was not the best. My daughter had the oatmeal and really liked it. The food took about 45 minutes to come out, but it was hot and we were hungry. Good service, the waitress kept our coffee mugs full!

A long-standing establishment serving American comfort food in both a buffet and order by menu format. Great food selection well season to taste and nostalgic service. Good service and the sweet tea is amazing. The pricing is excellent.
