Florida Cracker Kustoms
Me and my family stopped here to grab a bite to eat & stretch our legs, it felt like we had stepped back into time in all the best ways! If you enjoy old fashioned mom n’ pop places then this place is a must stop. The woman running the shop was extremely nice, she made the best tomato sandwich I have ever eaten. The prices were amazing! I was able to feed my family of four for only $36! I wish more places like this still existed. So glad we pulled off here for a pitstop. I’ll be stopping here every time I travel through Salem, SC.

A perfect, rustic atmosphere to enjoy the best hot dogs, and a world of other lunch options, suitable for any taste/diet. Kayla runs the restaurant, and I do mean runs. She takes orders at the counter and on the phone (which stays busy), prepares the orders and sides, delivers your order, and checks you out. Lots of friendly regulars, a decent amount of space/tables inside and picnic tables outside. A good selection of soft drinks, chips, and candy— not to mention ice cream. Pat’s isn’t called the best hot dog in Oconee County for nothing. Enjoy!

Saw Pat’s online when I was searching for a new spot to try and glad I did. Nothing fancy but if you’re looking for a pretty casual country store turned simple restaurant you’re good here. I got a couple of hot dogs with the works. That meant mustard mayo ketchup chili cheese onion slaw and relish. I grabbed a bag of chips and a soda from the cooler and was set. Service was handled entirely by one very nice lady who also gave a history of the building when another patron asked. I’m glad I made the drive.

Ya gotta take this place for what it is. A lil “mom n pops” joint that brings community and tourists together. It isn’t a fancy place by no means however it has personality and heart.
We had the hotdog with the works which is the dog, mayo, slaw and chili. I’m not a chili on my dog kind of girl but it was DElicious. We also tried the BBQ sammy which was yummy. Our onion rings were cooked perfectly and not greasy. That dog though… we should have ordered 2 more. If you’re thirsty for some old school bottled sodas, this is your place, they even have Grape Nehi.
For desert, we each had 2 scoops of ice cream on a cake cone but they also had brownies that other customers snatched up.
The general store portion had necessities, a few crafts and local Sourwood honey. Shoot, we had a conversation about the price of the honey since it wasn’t even 20 bucks for a large jar!!!
We visited on a Tuesday, thrilled that Pat’s was open. A lot of locally owned places are closed on Monday & Tuesdays.
Great experience and rolled out spending about 50 bucks, including 2 LARGE jars of honey.

Great family run convenience story in the heart of Salem. Best chili dog this side of Texas!
Perfect stop for a drink and snack.

The fact that this place has a good rating tells you that good food is not common in this region of South Carolina. Their fries were spit out bad. The rest of the food was just regular bad. The hot dogs are a bit dry, the chili is bland.

Nice clean place. Owner was very pleasant to talk to, and the hamburger was good. I didn’t care for the air fried fries but they were still good. I just like crispy fries.

Great place for a quick bite. My cheeseburger was very good and my wife enjoyed her turkey sandwich as well. Service was excellent. I understand the hot dogs are also great. Prices were very cheap. You can’t go wrong stopping at Pat’s!
