Stopped in on a whim as I had a meeting around the corner and caught happy hour. Enjoyed blackened fish tacos, a watermelon martini, expresso martini and I also ordered the veggie combo plate which consisted of fried goodness including buffalo cauliflower, fried mushrooms and fried corn fritters. It was a very satisfying fried sampler plate. The bartenders were great and very attentive and accommodating. I will definitely be back!

Great place to dine in downtown Sarasota. It right in the heart of Main St.
We go here almost weekly to meet up with friends and enjoy the delicious selection of food on the menu. Monday is $10 burger night and they have amazing burgers. The chili is perfectly made and is definitely filling. One of my favorite things to eat. The mahi sandwich is very good. The drink selection is top notch. Beers, mixed drinks and wines are very nice.
The atmosphere is great inside and outside. It’s always busy on Mondays but the noise level is pleasant enough to enjoy conversations with friends and family.
I highly recommend you try Patricks 1481.

December 19, 2025 – 2 for quick and casual dinner, no reservation, easy in/out before the 9 pm show at FST Theater.
Easily walkable from FST and free parking there! This is our/my third visit and so maybe the “charm”.
Christmas is alive in Sarasota and Main Street, the walk and the scenery were festive and nice! Patrick’s is cozy and inviting and well appointed and clean clean clean. (silverware was a little soap or lime stained knives and spoon maybe some jet dry or rinse off?)
The odd Sarasota season has some light traffic of cars and people. We are fine with that, seated quickly and given two hard backed chairs for our orthopedic issues/L4/L5 herniated discs and hips (grimace) Very comfortable seating and table ergonomics.
Very important : Service was fantastic!! “Kirsten M” was vigilant and attentive, but not pesky or absent. Truly first rate! 10/10
I got the Veggie Burger (no cheese) and Cole slaw side. The burger was a bean burger and of a good quality and composition and cooked nicely, slightly browned on the outside and hot inside. The roll was OK and nothing special, not sure if it was the same roll as my wife’s’ mushroom burger, but hers was toasted or cooked better. The guacamole on top was a nice thicker texture and a good item for “cheesiness” and moisture. The peppery hinted arugula for the greens an excellent accompaniment. Each part was simple but tasty. This was a good burger!!! 9/10 (roll)
My wife got the Mushroom Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. We asked and promptly received a little dish of pickle slices (I should have mentioned in the above Veggie Burger, as a few pickle slices REALLY gave the veggie burger some tanginess.) and here burger and roll were hot and cheese was melty and perfect. Also arugula which rounded out the sandwich very nicely. She really enjoyed this and I “daddy taxed” a bite and it was very good. Her roll was “better” than mine and was warm and fresh? 10/10
As you look around on this night you realize about 90% of the patrons are clearly regulars who maybe have multiple meals a week OR at least a Friday or Saturday or event night watching the many tvs. The bar was packed!!! This must be the closest to a Cheers Bar in Sarasota or maybe SW Florida.
We had a great visit, The burgers at $17 each was super reasonable and well worth it. My only quip was the Cucumber Martini at $15 was a bit $$ and very frankly if it was $12 my wife might have pondered a second next time. but at least it filled the full size martini glass it was served in….. not like the 3 shot/jigger disaster we had at Sage the week before for $16??? Anyway drinks on Main Street are a little NY/Manhattan tourist priced.
We will definitely be back. I am already planning on being ‘needy’ and asking for a Beet Salad with maybe the Veggie Bean Burger crumbled on it instead of the Tuna and Blue cheese?

We decided to try this place after reading the reviews and are glad we did! We went on a Monday and ordered the Monday burgers special – I had a regular hamburger with fries and my wife got a cheeseburger with cheddar. The burgers truly are the best I’ve eaten anywhere. They were done to order perfectly, and nice and juicy. The lettuce, tomato, and onions were fresh and plentiful. The fries were also great. Service was great. You cannot beat the Monday burger special prices either. We’ll be back.

If I could leave more than five stars I would. Initially my mom and I passed by briefly to use the restroom, which we were nervous would not be allowed, but upon entry we were greeted with a smile and shown where it was located. We decided to dine here after our tour guide with Sarasota with City Site Seeing Trolly Tour had suggested it. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan gluten free and it was DELICIOUS. I ate absolutely all of it. My mom ordered the fish tacos with cod, and on account of her black pepper allergy, were a little bland. We communicated this and our server sent us a grilled piece of cod double the size on a bed of lettuce which helped tremendously. We understood, however, that this was no fault of the restaurant nor our server, Andrew, who was AMAZING. He was patient and didn’t t make us feel like an inconvenience for being there, like many restaurants that we had visited made us feel. Attentive and very personable. He seemed like he cared for his job and hospitality. We finished off with the gluten free chocolate mouse pie as well as the key lime pie. Both were good but the chocolate mouse pie had surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend giving this a stop if you’re touring. The manager checked in with us and let us know that most of their employees have worked there for upwards of 5 + years. A big thanks to the team at Patrick’s 1481.

Monday Burgers at Patrick’s are Awesome. Great quality burgers are their specialty… and Monday are the day to go for $9, $10 & $11 specials. The mushroom burger is fantastic. Served with sweet potato fries that are always perfect ~ not greasy or soggy. Note that you need to purchase a beverage to get the special price… If you like sweet tea, it’s excellent. Our server was super friendly… fast, efficient, refilled my tea without needing to ask. That’s what happens when she’s been there for 18 years. Great food, great service, great specials & happy hour… Can’t go wrong at Patrick’s 1481. Worth the drive from Venice!

Went for happy hour. Great prices for drinks and food. We ordered 4 items from the happy hour menu and everything was tasty and portions were good. Our server was pleasant and friendly but service was somewhat slow. We will definitely go back to try other items.

Patrick’s was absolutely wonderful!!! We had a party of 19 and they accommodated us perfectly! Barbara D. was our server and she was amazing!!! I don’t know how she did it but she served our big party better than I have been served in a small party. The food was fantastic! Our party had lots of burgers, that were perfect, I had salmon salad which was delicious and some had pizza which was also great! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. We will be back! Thank you so much for a perfect evening!
