Patricia’s Downtown in Toms River absolutely deserves a 10 out of 10 across the board—food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding.

We started with the spicy shrimp appetizer, which was packed with flavor and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For our entrees, we had the chicken parm—crispy, tender, and generously portioned—and the lobster pasta, which was rich, creamy, and loaded with lobster. Every bite was incredible.

The service was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced. The atmosphere is cozy yet upscale, making it a great spot for a special night out or a relaxing dinner with friends.

Compliments to the chef for a truly memorable meal—we’ll definitely be back!

Im going to be fully transparent. Service and atmosphere are great. Our first visit wasn’t so excellent for all 13 of us but the restaurant manager, Melissa called us and after she spoke with the owner, Sal and invited us back. The service was once again – excellent and the atmosphere was really nice. They had two guys playing soft jazzy covers which was at just the right level. Very nice for a date night, small family dinner or special occasion.
We ordered the sausage and broccoli rabe again because it was good the first time and again this time. My brother liked his chicken parm last time and my husband got it and agreed. He said he would totally come back for the chicken parm and tiramisu.
I ordered the special – stuffed pork chop and it was good – but I really should have just ordered a bowl of the creamed spinach because it’s so yummy and I would have been content with that.
All in all – it proves that you might want to give a place another try. You can really tell that Melissa truly cares about the customers enjoying their food and overall experience at Patricia’s and that seems to a rarity these days.

I’m from up north and dare I say I know good food. This place is just wonderful in every regard. I can’t believe they even spend so much on quality containers for take-out and delivery. When is the last time you saw USA made containers that snap shut that well? I appreciate the little things like that! It shows care, attention to detail and respect for customers. And the food? Fuhgeddaboudit!! Delicious and CONSISTENT. Same flavor you remember and crave. Every. Time. Thank you to the
team who’s running this show. So happy to have something this good nearby. You know what you’re doing!

The atmosphere is pretty and decorated pretty for Christmas. They bring out a nice bread with spicy oil that was good. We opted for chicken Milanese and grilled chicken with spicy rigatoni that was delicious! The staff was nice and polite. We just feel they could be more attentive like we requested paper napkins and the water went empty for a long time. Definitely will visit again.

Came here for a birthday dinner and unfortunately left very disappointed.

Bullet points:
– BYOB
– fees
– not quiet!
– food is oily and mediocre
– service rushes

It is BYOB, but we weren’t given an ice bucket to keep our white wine cold. Not that we needed it (explained later.)

There is a 3.29% service fee on the receipt. They will charge it for debit cards, too, which I was under the impression that’s illegal.

There is nothing in there to absorb all the noise, so if you have sensory issues this is not the place. Both of us are constantly at concerts and this was overwhelming. We couldn’t talk to each other comfortably.

The bolognese ($24) looked more of a vodka sauce than tomato and had way too much oil in it. His gnocchi ($24) was a good sauce, but the gnocchi itself tasted like it came from a box. The real star was the bread and dip they brought out. Had a bunch of garlic and crushed red pepper in it. I ate more of that than my pasta.

From the moment we sat down we were rushed. The server was kind, but we barely had time to look over the menu. Once the check was brought she hovered. My bf barely got his signature finished before she collected the receipt and tried to take all the glasses off the table (she did put the water back down.) It was very crowded so I’m sure they want to turn tables, but back off. We felt unwelcome, and it certainly wasn’t a dinner we needed to rush through.

Safe to say we won’t be back.

First time coming in! This place was awesome. We came on a Tuesday so it wasn’t crazy. Service was great (but also not in a huge rush which was ok with us) and so friendly.

This place is BYOB. Delicious food. Will definitely be coming back

First, the service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The place was not crowded on a Monday night. We were looking forward to the appetizers, and we were not disappointed. All appetizers (Burrata and Octopus) and main dishes were excellent with the exception of the lobster pasta. The chicken with vodka sauce over penne was very good as expected from a good restaurant (our second time here). The lobster pasta was not a successful dish even though the sauce and pasta tasted good. It was a crowded plate heaping with spaghetti, a whole lobster with overcooked small tail and claws too hot to handle. This dish needs to be better constructed and supplemented with a few shrimp and scallops. There are many other dishes we look forward to trying.

Went on a date night with my husband tonight the waitress Jamie and the waiter Mike were amazing and knowledgeable. He told us to try the money bag and it was delicious! We also ordered chicken Parmesan and a Caesar salad. For dessert we did tartufo and the cheesecake cone which was AMAZING! Will definitely be back soon!

I really wanted this place to be great ! Unfortunately the only good thing was the ambience and decor . Parking wasn’t ideal as there are very limited spots but you can park on the side which is fine . Our reservation was honored and we were sat immediately. It’s tiny and definitely cozy , not uncomfortable and you’re not seated on top of other tables which was nice . Once sat we weren’t approached for over 15 minutes ! Our server wasn’t the kindest either she seemed unhappy to be there and unhappy to be serving us ! That made us uncomfortable. Next is just a slew of things gone wrong . We were there to celebrate our anniversary and brought a nice bottle of champagne. We were given no champagne glasses just poured right into wine glasses , no ice bucket either it was just left to sit there on our very small table to get warm which was frustrating! The bread that’s given comes cold which is odd , our meals were not good at all ! My husband got the chicken parm and it was over cooked and no flavor . I ordered one of the specials which was advertised as a 1.5 lobster served over linguine with a diavlo sauce ! Well it came out as a lobster cut in half placed on top of linguine! I only had a butter knife to attempt to get some meat from the lobster which resulted in a mess and finally a hostess noticed my struggle and brought me a serrated knife which still seemed to not work then finally she brought be a shell cracker ! This took 20 minutes for let’s say less then ideal amount of lobster ! It was served so incorrectly and if it wasnt for the hostess I would not of been able to eat any of it ! Our server only seemed to be around once we decided to leave she was quick to get our check and turn the table ! Over all we definitely will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone . They operated as if they had just opened ! Too
Many negatives over positives ! This place really disappointed us considering it’s a second location to the one in Toms River !
