Being a native Chicagoan, I am used to flavorful fresh food. My son knows I like Puerto Rican food and recommended I stop here. I had Mofongo with Shrimp and Arroz Con Gandules. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and the servings were plentiful. The accompanying salad was also fresh and tasty. If you crave authentic PR food, this is your spot. They set up inside of the gas stations parking lot, and offer covered seating. The friendly service was an added bonus!!!

This is the most authentic puertorican flavors I’ve found so far. I ordered a plate with Arroz con gandules, pastel, and fried pork… and everything tasted and looked just like you would find in a good mountain area restaurant in Puerto Rico. They have a nice variety to be a food truck, and the prices are fair, specially for the portions. I did had to wait some time for the order, but the food was worth it. I like the drink options as well, you can get a few good imported puertorican items for drink. Friendly people over there!

We ordered the la picadura and the mofongo mar y tierra over the phone to avoid the wait, and it worked out perfectly. The picadera included an sorrullitos, fried pork or chicken cracklings, alcapurrias, empanadillas, and tostones. The fried pork and chicken empanadilla were my favorites. The alcapurria wasn’t quite as good as last time and the mofongo was not my favorite, but still enjoyable. The portions were very generous—we ended up with plenty of leftovers.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico! Moved 7yrs ago, and I can say that this is the best mofongo I’ve ever tried so far. I ordered mofongo with carne frita and another one with chicharrón de pollo, alcapurrias, tostón relleno de pollo and piña colada. Amazing service, amazing sazón and prices are perfect. 100% recommend!!!

Absolutely delicious authentic Puerto Rican food. The service is great, everyone is welcoming and friendly. The food didn’t took a lot of time to prepare and the wait was worth it. The seasoning, texture, and flavor are just amazing.
We had El Jibarito and Mofongo con chicharrón de pollo, both delicious. The Mofongo was the highlight of our dinner.
We got a sample of their Coquito and it was also delicious.
I’d recommend their food anytime! 10/10 ⭐️

If you’re craving bold flavors, warm hospitality, and a meal that feels like home, Patria Boricua delivers a truly authentic Puerto Rican dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the air was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of sofrito, garlic, and sizzling plantains — a promising start to a memorable meal.
